It’s amazing how fast the first 20 years have gone by. With those 20 years comes a lot of experience, which has allowed us to not only continue to develop and offer new products and ideas from our company, but help our industry partners develop them as well.

Meridian, an industry leading manufacturer of indoor and outdoor kiosks, interactive digital signage, and self-service software is celebrating their 20th anniversary during the month of December.

Meridian’s plans for the occasion include the unveiling of their newly renovated self-service solutions showroom, which will enable visitors to their Aberdeen campus to interact with many of their standard kiosk models in-person, and the release of a new 20th anniversary kiosk line. One model from the new line will be revealed at the National Retail Federation’s “Big Show” in January.

Established in 1999 by Chris Gilder, who remains Meridian’s Owner and CEO to this day, the self-service industry pioneer has seen a great deal of growth both internally and within the industry since its inception two decades ago.

“It’s amazing how fast the first 20 years have gone by,” said Gilder. “With those 20 years comes a lot of experience, which has allowed us to not only continue to develop and offer new products and ideas from our company, but help our industry partners develop them as well.”

Some of those partners encompass the most innovative technology companies in the world—including HP, Samsung, Intel, Arrow, and many others.

“We are fortunate to partner with some of the best and brightest companies in the world,” said Gilder. “As we approach our third decade, we are seeing partnerships—both old and new—take off like never before,” he said.

Gilder attributed much of that momentum to the increased rate at which self-service solutions are being adopted. “The world is embracing technology more than ever before—especially when it comes to self-service solutions,” he said.

Meridian is no stranger to growth, though. In fact, they have experienced a great deal of it just within the past year. Throughout 2019 the company invested in more advanced fabrication equipment, grew their fabrication and assembly facilities, and expanded internationally into the United Kingdom—and that growth doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

“We expect to continue to grow significantly in the next few years as self-service solutions are adopted at a rate exceeding anything like what we’ve seen in the past,” said Gilder.
