Mary Jones Selected as a 2020 Super Lawyers


It is a great honor to be selected for this prestigious recognition.

Austin Attorney Mary Jones has been named in the 2020 edition of Super Lawyers in the family law category.

Mary graduated from the University of Illinois in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and in 1992 from the University of Kentucky College of Law with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence.  After spending almost a decade teaching and coaching at the middle school and high school levels in public schools in Illinois, Texas and North Carolina, she pursued her law degree and has continued her service to parents and children in the legal realm for over 25 years.  Prior to establishing her private practice in 1997, she practiced family law with the firm of Hearne, Knolle, Livingston and Holcomb, and Douglass D. Hearne, Sr. for 5 years.  She has represented clients in Travis, Williamson, Hays, Burnet, and Blanco Counties.  Ms. Jones is a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow,  Lifetime Member Texas Family Law Foundation, continuous Member of The College of the State Bar of Texas since 2004, and a founding member of the Travis County Bar Foundation.  She is a member of Collaborative Divorce Texas and sits on the board of directors for Collaborative Divorce Austin. 

For more than 25 years Mary has represented clients in Travis, Williamson, Hays, and Burnet counties. She is a founding fellow of the Travis County Bar Foundation and a section board member of the Williamson County Bar Association. She is also a Director of Collaborative Divorce Austin. Ms. Jones is a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow, a high distinction as each year only one-third of one percent of State Bar members are selected to become Fellows.
