The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) and Marcum LLP announce the winners of the 2019 Marcum Tech Top 40, the 12th annual awards program from CTC and Marcum recognizing the fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut.
This year’s overall Marcum Tech Top 40 winner is Potoo Solutions. Potoo outperformed other finalist companies with a growth rate of 2813% over the past four years. Founded in 2014, Potoo Solutions provides services to help manage online retail businesses.
Winners were also named in each of the six entry categories, based on the greatest percentage growth by sector. The 2019 category winners are:
- Device42, Inc., West Haven (Software)
- Eastern Co, Naugatuck (Advanced Manufacturing)
- KUBTEC, Stratford (Life Sciences)
- Kyber Security, Fairfield (IT Services)
- Potoo Solutions, Norwalk (New Media, Internet, and Telecommunications)
- Precision Combustion, North Haven (Energy, Environmental, and Green Technologies)
In addition, two companies share distinction as winners of the annual Accelerator Award, which recognizes companies that successfully scaled to $3 million in revenue in fewer than 3 years. This year’s Accelerator honorees successfully achieved a growth rate of more than 80% in one year. Arvinas, Inc. (New Haven), a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing therapeutics for cancers and other difficult-to-treat diseases, achieved 80% growth and WealthConductor, LLC (Hartford), a Fintech company focused on retirement income planning, achieved a growth rate of 182%.
About the Marcum Tech Top 40
The Marcum Tech Top 40 recognizes technology companies with at least $3 million in annual revenue and a four-year record of growth, in six industry sectors. Both privately held and publicly traded companies are eligible.
