The need for autism therapy services is great, particularly in smaller cities like Plymouth, Warsaw and Goshen.

Lighthouse Autism Center, an ABA therapy center for children with autism, has announced it will be expanding in three northern Indiana cities this fall. This includes Plymouth, IN, Warsaw, IN and a new center in Goshen, IN.

This expansion will make Lighthouse Autism Center the largest ABA provider in northern Indiana creating an additional sixty jobs and offering autism therapy services to an additional fifty families in these areas. Children who attend the centers will work on developing social skills, communication skills, daily living skills, school-readiness skills and more. Speech therapy will also be offered for those children who attend the centers for ABA services.

Gregg and Sandy Maggioli, founders of Lighthouse Autism Center and parents to a child with autism are excited to expand in these areas, commenting that, “the need for autism therapy services is great, particularly in smaller cities like Plymouth, Warsaw and Goshen. We started Lighthouse to bring therapy to communities that need it, and we are excited to continue that mission with this latest expansion.”

Covid-19 Update

After a brief shut down in March and April due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all Lighthouse Autism Center locations are now open and safely offering ABA therapy services. As a result of Covid-19, Lighthouse has implemented new policies and procedures in order to protect the health and safety of children and staff, while continuing to provide the highest quality autism services. These procedures include:

-Masks worn by staff at all times

-Temperature checks for all children and staff prior to entering the buildings

-Elimination of group activities such as eating together or group classes

-Extra staff on hand to perform sanitation of all surface’s throughout the day

-Investment in a rapid testing facility to offer COVID-19 rapid testing to staff and families

Lighthouse Autism Center has had less than 1% of staff and children tested for Covid-19 test positive, and has had zero instances of Covid-19 spreading from person-to-person within a center.
