Larchmont Dental Associates Would Like to Inform its Patients on Dental Protocol Updates Due to COVID-19

Dr. Michael A. Kezian’s Dental office is responding to the Coronavirus pandemic by making important changes to his dental office safety protocol. Many patients are worried about COVID-19 safety in dentistry. We have strengthened infection control procedures and have now introduced new technology and PPE to increase the safety of our patients and our community. We would like our patients to be confident in visiting our dental office and seeking dental treatment without the worry that they will come into contact with the virus or spread it to their community.

In order to purify the air and help our patients breathe easier, Dr. Kezian has installed two HEPA 550 hospital grade air scrubbers. He also invented and installed aerosol sucking devices to eliminate any potentially infectious particles that could be generated by dental procedures. Dr. Kezian’s staff is now equipped in full PPE including body gowns, hair and shoe coverings, faceshields. These PPE are also made available to our patients. Finally, we have changed our appointment procedures in order to enforce social distancing guidelines, this includes staggered appointment times and limiting the number of people in the office. Currently we are limiting our treatment to only essential dental services so that we adhere to American Dental Association and US government guidelines. Situations where a patient’s oral health status would deteriorate if they did not seek treatment require essential dental services. This includes fillings, root canals or endodontics, gum treatments or periodontics, and dentures, crowns and bridges or prosthodontics. We will also continue to provide emergency dentist procedures such as the treatment of trauma, pain, and infection. We are minimizing treatment of non-vital, elective procedures.
