JPMA Cares Rallies Partners in Major Contribution to Injury Prevention for Children

“National Injury Prevention Day will have a tangible impact on the lives of babies and young children all over the country by keeping babies safe,” said Jennifer Mitchell, JPMA chairman of the board and the founding chair of JPMA Cares.

JPMA Cares, a new industry-based charitable foundation that helps babies and young children thrive, contributed over 5,000 baby products valued at more than $200,000 for children in need. These products will be distributed across the U.S. to answer the call for child safety on National Injury Prevention Day, November 18, 2021.

National Injury Prevention Day, led by the Injury Free Coalition for Kids, is held annually to raise awareness about the need for injury and violence prevention – the number one killer of Americans from age one to 44. Many of these deaths are preventable with the use of safety practices, products, and the implementation of strong legislative policies. That is why the country’s top injury and violence prevention organizations are joining forces on Thursday, November 18, 2021, for National Injury Prevention Day.

“National Injury Prevention Day will have a tangible impact on the lives of babies and young children all over the country by keeping babies safe,” said Jennifer Mitchell, JPMA chairman of the board and the founding chair of JPMA Cares. “Our partnership with the Injury Free Coalition for Kids is extremely meaningful to the work we are doing with JPMA Cares and across the industry.”

On November 18 at 1:00 p.m. EST, the Injury Free Coalition for Kids will host a live national conversation about the country’s top injury and violence concerns during a one-hour Twitter Chat using the hashtag: #BeInjuryFree.

JPMA Cares would like to recognize the generous contributions from companies across the baby and children’s products industry, including Dreambaby, mifold, KidCo, Chicco, Delta Children’s Products, Safety 1st, Evenflo, Halo, MAM, BouncyBoo, Graco, WAYB, Regal + Lager, Cardinal Gates, Geddy’s Mom, KidsEmbrace and Nuna.

“Our partners are the heart of JPMA Cares. They are a lifeline to children and families in need,” said Mitchell. “With the donation of these safety products, we are ensuring the safety of babies and children in our communities. We are thankful for our industry partners who make this possible.”

National Injury Prevention Day is one of several program initiatives for JPMA Cares in 2021. In December, JPMA Cares will sponsor the Benefit for Babies, with the unveiling of the much-anticipated 2021 JPMA Innovation Awards.

These important programs uniquely support JPMA Cares’ mission.
