Johns Hopkins All Children’s Researchers Featured in The Journal of Pediatrics Supplement on Translational Research

The June issue of The Journal of Pediatrics, one of the top medical journals in the field of pediatrics, will feature a special supplement on “Current Topics in Translational Research”. The supplement is co-edited by Neil Goldenberg, M.D., Ph.D., associate dean for research at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and a professor of pediatrics and medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and Vera Ignjatovic, Ph.D., professor of pediatrics at the University of Melbourne, and a co-group leader of Hematology Research group at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, in Melbourne, Australia.

The supplement features the latest perspectives on emerging methods and technologies in research that form a bridge across fundamental (“basic”) science, clinical investigation and application. Articles cover current topics and future directions in biobanking, genomics, plasma proteomics, brain MRI “connectomics”, and machine learning/artificial intelligence, among others. Each article is collaboratively authored by leading experts from around the world, including several researchers from Johns Hopkins All Children’s. The supplement serves as an authoritative resource promoting interdisciplinary translational research and is designed to generate new knowledge and improved therapies in a broad spectrum of pediatric diseases.

The Journal of Pediatrics is an international peer-reviewed journal focused on pediatric research and serves as a guide for pediatricians. This is the first time a Johns Hopkins All Children’s researcher has been selected as a guest editor for this prestigious journal.
