Rosa Antunez Boatwright, personal injury attorney at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors at the Diamante Arts & Cultural Center – the oldest Latino/Hispanic Arts and Culture organization in North Carolina. The Center is dedicated to the preservation, development, and promotion of the culture, heritage, and artistic expressions of the diverse Latino/Hispanic community.
Her inclusion to the Board will position her to continue to help the Latino/Hispanic community, which is one of her passions, and enable her to affect even more positive change. She will help oversee community engagement activities that help develop understanding and appreciation of the Hispanic/Latino community with all of its diversity, cultural norms, and contributions. Her first meeting as a member of the board is in April.

The Diamante Arts & Cultural Center offers programs that advance Hispanic/Latino culture, arts, and creativity. It designs and implements initiatives to enable cross-community collaboration, networking, and action. The Center is also responsible for creative opportunities that engage people from all cultural backgrounds to engage in arts education, leadership, community service, and economic development.
Mrs. Boatwright’s appointment did not surprise her peers at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, who recognize her as a passionate advocate, something that serves her well in her practice as a personal injury attorney representing those who have been injured through no fault of their own. Her community and cultural involvement are well-known around the office.

As a child, Mrs. Boatwright immigrated with her family after Hurricane Mitch devastated Honduras and destroyed their home. She grew up with a strong work ethic, and worked her way through both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she obtained her degree in Psychology, and the North Carolina Central School of Law in Durham, where she obtained her J.D.
