ISPE Names Gilead Sciences’ Joydeep Ganguly Executive Chair of the 2023 ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo

The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) is thrilled to announce Joydeep Ganguly, Senior Vice President of Corporate Operations at Gilead Sciences Inc, as the Executive Chair of the 2023 ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo. The event will take place from 15-18 October at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The 2023 ISPE Annual Meeting & Expo will offer a diverse range of content areas that delve into critical issues shaping the pharmaceutical industry. The robust program will offer more than 53 hours of educational content covering fundamental topics such as digital transformation, manufacturing excellence, regulatory compliance, supply chain resiliency, advanced therapy and manufacturing, and sustainability. It will also feature a Global Regulatory Town Hall and six interactive workshops on operational excellence, regulatory issues, digitalization, and more. The prestigious Facility of the Year Awards banquet, which recognizes outstanding achievements in pharmaceutical manufacturing facility design and operation, will take place during the conference.

In his current role as Senior Vice President of Corporate Operations at Gilead Sciences, Ganguly oversees Gilead’s global operations across its network. Before Gilead, Joydeep spent 10 years at Biogen in roles of increasing responsibility in technical operations, manufacturing and supply chain. A transformational thought leader in the operations space, he has published extensively about operations transformation, engineering innovation and supply chain evolution. Joydeep earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Business Administration from North Carolina State University, and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Cornell University. Recently recognized as a Top 50 Diverse Leader in California, Joydeep sits on the Boards of the Bay Area Council, Biocom, the Gilead Foundation, and was recently appointed to the Board of Advisors at Culture Biosciences.
