IPVideo Corporation is proud to announce that its industry-leading HALO IoT Smart Sensor 3C for safety, health and vape detection has been named an NCSA Excellence in Product Innovation Award winner for Best Retrofit/Installer Friendly Product of 2023. NSCA, the leading not-for-profit association representing the commercial integration industry, announced the winners of its ninth annual Excellence in Product Innovation Awards, a recognition program for manufacturers and products that have a profound impact on systems integrators. The judging panel included NSCA’s director of business resources, the editor of Commercial Integrator, and a panel of integrators from across North America.

“Every year, manufacturers submit more products for consideration, and we’re inspired by the innovation we continue to learn about,” says NSCA Director of Business Resources Mike Abernathy. “As the judging team evaluates each nomination, we see innovation and forward-thinking progress behind every product. It’s clear that manufacturers are working hard to create systems to create the experiences that end-users now expect integrators to help them create.”

“Thank you to the NSCA and to all who voted the HALO Smart Sensor 3C as Best Retrofit/Installer Friendly Product of the Year,” said David Antar, President of IPVideo Corporation. “The HALO Smart Sensor gives integrators a unique offering that solves critical needs of their customers. With HALO 3C we made it easier and faster for our authorized integrators to complete their installations.”

The HALO Smart Sensor 3C boasts new features and benefits for integrators. New surface-mounted hardware allows for the installation of two devices on the same cable run, cutting down on installation time and costs. The new HALO Cloud and HALO Cloud Application offers easy mass deployment and configuration, cloning settings across all devices on the selected network, as well as a means of recognizing recurring revenues post sale. In addition, HALO 3C integrates with most major VMS solutions so multiple units can be added across facilities to provide security in all areas including-g privacy areas where clients do not want video cameras recording.

As an all-in-one solution, the HALO Smart Sensor 3C lets users capture comprehensive health, safety, and vaping awareness using a single device. Designed for use in facilities’ privacy areas, HALO 3C is used in classrooms, hotel rooms, assisted living facilities, and more. Enhanced safety features include a panic button, emergency escape and alert lighting, motion detection, and people counting. In an emergency, facility occupants can trigger the panic button or use the unit’s verbal emergency keyword to call for assistance. The device can also trigger specific lighting colors to signify a specific alert like a gas leak or directional lighting to lead occupants to safety in dangerous situations like a fire or active shooter incident.
