Now, to better address COVID-19-related data accessibility needs, Interbit Data will give its nearly 300 NetSafe customers across North America the added option of internet-based access to critical patient information. This additional capability maintains the same HIPAA compliance and makes it easier to ensure patient safety from remote and makeshift locations, which are now approved under CMS’ new COVID-19 regulations. Existing NetSafe customers who choose to take advantage of this feature may access it free of charge through June 30.
Customers are also deploying Interbit Data’s automated report distribution solution, NetDelivery, in innovative ways to manage the challenges associated with COVID-19. For example, some health systems send appointment cancellations and postponements through NetDelivery to all referring physicians in response to COVID-19 protocols, while others route incoming COVID-19 test results and restrict general access to that information through Interbit Data’s DesktopFax solution (which enables unlimited faxing across the enterprise from PC-based applications).
For now, these innovative capabilities are only available to hospitals and health systems that have already set up their critical information in Interbit Data’s secure servers.
