ImPACT Applications and Integrated Medical Case Solutions (IMCS) Partner to Support Evaluation and Treatment of Workplace Concussions

The IMCS partnership helps achieve our mutual goal of increasing access to standardized, research-backed concussion assessment tools in this currently underserved population.

24% of traumatic brain injuries are work related (Colantonio et al., 2016), yet concussions in the workplace are often overlooked. ImPACT Applications and Integrated Medical Case Solutions (IMCS) recognized this gap in care and are addressing safety concerns related to workplace concussions and return to work.

Today’s announcement confirms each company’s commitment to improving concussion care for injured workers by providing concussion-specific, FDA-cleared ImPACT to concussion and traumatic brain injury victims.

“We understand the need to make concussion management accessible in the workplace,” said Chief Executive Officer Michael Wahlster. “The IMCS partnership helps achieve our mutual goal of increasing access to standardized, research-backed concussion assessment tools in this currently underserved population.”

IMCS has trained their global network of psychologists to incorporate ImPACT as part of their comprehensive concussion evaluation protocol. Now, injured workers in all 50 states can find a provider who is specifically trained in the administration and interpretation of ImPACT as well as the subsequent, tailored return to work treatment in target cases.

“IMCS is proud to partner with ImPACT Applications in order to add the only FDA-cleared concussion evaluation to our provider network management tools and our Rebound from Concussion program, enabling us to continue to streamline and improve upon our premier return to work outcomes”, said Lori Daugherty, IMCS CEO.
