Ideal Option Opens Addiction Medicine Clinic in Billings Heights

Ideal Option, a national leader in evidence-based outpatient treatment for addiction to fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, alcohol and polysubstance, is now welcoming new patients in Billings Heights. According to recent data pulled from the Billings Police Department, fentanyl seizures from the Drug Task Force went from 114 pills in 2020 to 24,278 pills in 2021 – a 21,000% increase. In addition, the Montana Highway Patrol seized over 12,000 fentanyl pills in the first three months of 2022, which is more than three times the number from 2021.

The report shows fentanyl positive rates at enrollment were up by 103% displacing heroin positive rates which were down by 31% compared to 2020. The data also support the effectiveness of treatment.   • 99% less fentanyl use

  • 92% less total opioid use

  • 95% less heroin use

  • 85% less methamphetamine use

  • 65% less benzodiazepine use

The new clinic is Ideal Option’s second location in Billings and comes at a time of desperate need for expanded access to evidence-based treatment from experienced and specialized providers. The new Ideal Option clinic in Billings Heights is open Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. and is located at 530 Sioux Ln, Billings, MT 59105.

Most insurance plans are accepted, including Medicare and Medicaid, and patients can typically get started on treatment for fentanyl, heroin, alcohol or other substances within 1-3 business days.
