With this device, we wanted to help consumers replace bulky, heavy, silicon-based laptop chargers with smaller and more efficient GaN-based devices

Homing Systems and Navitas Semiconductor announce the launch of the SlimQ “F100” 4-output fast charger on the Indiegogo campaign platform, already 1000% over-subscribed. The F100 fast charger, with true power factor correction (PFC) functionality for world-wide use, uses Navitas GaNFast next-generation gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor technology to shrink to the world’s smallest size.

“We are seeing a paradigm shift in power technology,” says Derek Liu, Founder and CEO of Homing Systems. “With this device, we wanted to help consumers replace bulky, heavy, silicon-based laptop chargers with smaller and more efficient GaN-based devices. While the COVID-19 pandemic has created disruptions such as broken supply chains and delays in manufacture, the entire team at Homing Systems kept faith, worked hard to control what was possible, and came out better and stronger. That’s why we named the product F100 – the letter ‘F’ stands for faith, with great respect and support for all those who have struggled and suffered with the virus.”

With two USB C and two USB A outputs, and delivering 100W, the 70 x 68 x 29 mm (138 cc), the SlimQ F100 can charge up to four devices simultaneously, from earbuds, phones and tablets up to the 16” Apple MacBook Pro. Innovative AC-power adapters and extension cables can be used anywhere in the world and the true PFC function meets worldwide government regulations to increase energy efficiency and meet environmental standards.

“The F100 is another great example of the revolution in fast chargers, and the next-generation shift from old, bulky, slow silicon-based chargers to new, miniaturized, fast, GaN chargers.” Said Stephen Oliver, Navitas VP Worldwide Marketing and Investor Relations. “The GaNFast power ICs run at high speed, enabling a massive reduction in size and weight and deliver amazing multi-device, simultaneous charging in record time.”
