SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. (PRWEB)
October 01, 2021
As of October 1, every caregiver employed by Home Instead of Sherman Oaks, Studio City, and surrounding area is required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. The announcement is already bringing peace of mind to many families who trust in Home Instead to provide senior home care for their loved ones.
While being vaccinated is now a requirement for every caregiver employed by this Home Instead office, a large number of its caregivers have been fully vaccinated for some time. According to CEO Jim Trisch, “every family I have met with over the past few months has stated that the caregiver must be vaccinated to enter the home.” The new policy will make caregivers’ vaccine status clear and provide an extra layer of assurance to families that have been hesitant to begin or resume in-home senior care services as a result of the pandemic.
This vaccine requirement makes sense for a company that provides residential assisted living to aging individuals and people with chronic health issues in a popular area of Los Angeles County, as the virus is more dangerous for seniors and those with underlying conditions. Fortunately, many residents of Sherman Oaks and communities throughout the county are already vaccinated. More than 75% of L.A. County residents aged 12 and over have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to the county’s Department of Public Health, and more than 91% of seniors have had at least one dose.
The Sherman Oaks office on N. Sepulveda Blvd currently serves aging individuals and their loved ones in North Hills, North Hollywood, Pacoima, Panorama City, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Valley Village, and Van Nuys.
