HMP Global announces International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) as partner with Lymphoma, Leukemia & Myeloma Congress (LL&M)

LL&M is the meeting where interdisciplinary specialists convene to explore the controversial and complex world of blood cancer through debate, discussion, and networking.

HMP Global, the leading omnichannel healthcare events and education company, today announced the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) as a partner for the 2023 Lymphoma, Leukemia & Myeloma Congress (LL&M), the premier forum for industry-leading hematologic research and clinical case studies.

The 2023 LL&M Congress will be held October 18-21 at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel in New York City. LL&M is the meeting where interdisciplinary specialists convene to explore the controversial and complex world of blood cancer through debate, discussion, and networking. The educational program covers emerging data, innovative treatment methods, and emerging trends in lymphoma, myeloma, and leukemia disorders.

The International Myeloma Foundation is the first and largest global organization that focuses specifically on multiple myeloma, with more than 525,000 members in 140 countries. Through research, education, support, and advocacy, IMF works to find a cure for those living with multiple myeloma; provide educational seminars and workshops; provide support for patients around the world; and empower people to make a positive impact on issues critical to the myeloma community in the United States and globally.

“It is critical that like-minded organizations like IMF and LL&M work together to educate clinicians and develop strategies that improve patient care and outcomes,” said Dr. Joseph Mikhael, Chief Medical Officer of the IMF and professor in the Applied Cancer Research and Drug Discovery Division at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), an affiliate of City of Hope Cancer Center. “Together we are advancing the science and research that will improve our patients’ lives while we work toward prevention and finding a cure.”

Educational Program

The LL&M Congress Chair is Morton Coleman, MD, and Co-Chairs include Richard R. Furman, MD; Jeremy Heinerich, PA-C; John P. Leonard, MD; Ruben Niesvizky, MD; and Gail J. Roboz, MD, all of Weill Cornell Medicine, New York City. The 2023 educational program focuses on emerging science; rare diseases and aggressive lymphomas; biology and pathology for clinicians; treatment options and evolving treatments; and more.

There will be a learning track specifically for nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and a Spanish-language session on myeloma will be held on Saturday, October 21. Featured topics in multiple myeloma presented on October 20 include biology and pathology for clinicians, upfront treatment of myeloma, evolving treatment in myeloma, and treatment options in relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma.

The LL&M educational program features four days of comprehensive learning presented by more than 60 faculty experts, and participants can receive up to 25 CME/CE credits. The live event is designed to meet the educational needs of those who are involved or interested in the treatment of patients with hematologic malignancies, including hematologists, medical oncologists, physicians, physician assistants, oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists.
