Our 3D resin printer allows us to manufacture alignment trays onsite. We’ve created our own lab, which helps expedite treatment and reduce the cost of orthodontic treatment.

Conover, NC-based Hass Family Orthodontics is pleased to announce new technologies and procedures designed to expedite orthodontic treatment. According to Dr. Andrew Hass, the practice has recently invested in safe and effective orthodontic technology to provide a premium patient experience.

New technologies available at the full-service orthodontic practice include the iTero Digital Scanner, used to create painless, 3D mouth scans. “The process for impressions is much faster and more comfortable for patients,” said Dr. Hass. Unlike the plaster impressions used in the past, the digital images yield better results and lead to a better fit for orthodontic appliances, such as alignment trays, which are also now printed onsite at Hass Family Orthodontics.

“Our 3D resin printer allows us to manufacture alignment trays onsite. Our patients won’t spend weeks waiting to begin their orthodontic treatment because they are waiting for alignment trays to arrive from an offsite lab. We’ve created our own lab, which helps expedite treatment and reduce the cost of orthodontic treatment,” Dr. Hass added.

For patients, who choose metal bracket braces or clear bracket braces, Dr. Hass and his team utilize an indirect bonding technique to expedite the bracket placement procedure. “Indirect bonding allows us to place all the brackets at once by creating an exact mold of a patient’s mouth, then placing the brackets in their proper position in a custom tray. The brackets are then transferred directly onto the teeth. Indirect bonding makes the placement process much faster, and the placement of each bracket more precise,” he said.

As a digital practice, Hass Orthodontics also employs the latest technology to ensure easy scheduling and convenience while at the dental office. Appointments can be requested online, Wi-Fi is free in the lobby, and digital flat-screen televisions are located next to each treatment chair so patients can view digital scans, or watch a television program during treatment. Likewise, the practice keeps electronic medical records, making it easy for patients to access or request specific records quickly.

Hass Family Orthodontics provides orthodontic treatment for patients of all ages. For young children, who should see an orthodontist for the first time by age 7, Dr. Hass and his team provide interceptive orthodontics, to ensure space for adult teeth to erupt. Interceptive orthodontics also often results in a shorter treatment time later in life. Treatments for teens and adults include self-ligating Damon braces, titanium braces for those with metal allergies, Invisalign, and more.
