Harmony Healthcare, a leading health staffing and consulting solutions partner to healthcare organizations nationwide, today unveils its diversity data for 2019. The report examines gender, racial, and age diversity data for its over 500 consultants nationwide.

“Today’s world is full of opportunities to elevate diversity,” Christian Brown, CEO of Harmony Healthcare, said. “It’s more than a societal issue; it’s one that can impact our working world and one that should prompt businesses to lead by example.”

“A diverse workforce is important to hiring, as it brings a mix of experiences, work styles, and qualities that provide a valuable set of approaches, creative ideas, and perspectives to an organization,” Cindy Kell, Senior Director, Administration, said. “As Harmony is always looking at different strategies to improve and enhance our environment, diversity is a great way to boost our brand’s reputation.”

Key takeaways on consultants who serve in non-clinical roles at a wide range of healthcare facilities include:

  • Almost 88% identify as women
  • Over 18% are between the ages of 26-39
  • More than 34% are between the ages of 40-50
  • More than 44% are 50 and over
  • Almost 32% identify as African American

“Here at Harmony, we strive to raise the bar by creating a sense of belonging,” Brown said. “We see this data as part of an ongoing conversation about diversity, one that elevates all voices and prompts more listening and more empathy.”
