Dr. Annie Peters, Chief Clinical Officer for Harmony Foundation has been selected for the role of Director of Research and Education at the National Association of Addiction Treatment Professionals (NAATP). Dr. Peters has spent six years revolutionizing the Harmony substance use clinical program including the integration of both mental health and trauma services.

“Dr. Peters has been instrumental in elevating the clinical program at Harmony Foundation,” said Jim Geckler, Harmony CEO. “Her leadership tenure at Harmony has made an impact on clients, staff and alumni. We are excited to see how her new role at NAATP will positively influence the global landscape of addiction treatment.”

Harmony will continue its commitment to the development of new evidence-based addiction treatment practices with the addition of a nationally recognized talent. Dr. Robert Leach, a current member of our mental health team, will be assuming the role of Clinical Director. His vision will build on the clinical evolution at Harmony with the expansion of new treatment services, including Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment.

“This is an exciting time in Harmony’s 50-year history as we roll out additional levels of care to meet the needs of our clients in various stages of recovery. The development of integrated levels of care as well as the implementation of measurement-based care are important next steps in being responsive to our clients’ needs,” said Dr. Leach.

On behalf of Harmony Foundation, we want to thank Dr. Peters for her contribution to our legacy of treatment and recovery. While she may not be working day to day with Harmony, she will always have a home here.

“Harmony is where my personal recovery began, and I have been incredibly grateful to work here over the past six years.  The Harmony team is so passionate about helping people and families recover, and I will treasure this experience,” commented Dr. Peters.
