Green Goo Announces First Donation Recipients as Part of its $100,000 Pay It Forward Holiday Campaign

During these uncertain times, we feel honored to be able to provide essential products to these organizations, but more importantly, to shine a light on their heroic efforts. We can’t wait to continue to spread goodness to organizations all across the country in the weeks to come.

Green Goo, the Colorado-based all-natural body care and first aid brand, kicked off its $100,000 Pay It Forward holiday campaign with hand sanitizer donations to select regional organizations that are especially meaningful to the brand. Green Goo is also happy to announce the first winner of its weekly $500 prize package giveaways.

One part contest, one part giveaway, Green Goo’s $100,000 Pay It Forward campaign not only offers participants the chance to win Green Goo prize packages, but the winners are then afforded the opportunity to “pay it forward” by donating hand sanitizer to their favorite organizations — first responders, schools, shelters, restaurants, or other notable groups. Green Goo will also select deserving hand sanitizer recipients each week itself, as the brand plans to give away over $100,000 in products through the campaign’s conclusion on January 6, 2021. ‘Tis the season to spread goodness, not germs, after all.

The winner of the first weekly $500 Green Goo gift basket giveaway is Larry Clark of Laurens, South Carolina. Green Goo is working closely with Mr. Clark to confirm his hand sanitizer donation recipient, which will be announced in the coming days.

The first recipients to each receive 20 gallons of the brand’s FDA-compliant hand sanitizers are:

  • Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity (Greeley, CO) – Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally in Colorado’s Weld County and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
  • Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley (Longmont, CO) — Building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter, Habitat for Humanity of the St. Vrain Valley is dedicated to providing decent, affordable housing for low-income families in the St. Vrain Valley School District and Estes Park.
  • Homeward Alliance (Ft. Collins, CO) – Empowering individuals and families who face homelessness to survive, move forward, and thrive, Homeward Alliance operates a continuum of programs and initiatives, ranging from critical survival gear, to employment services, to homelessness prevention.

“We are so proud to kick off our Season of Goodness by donating hand sanitizer to Colorado organizations that are especially close to our hearts,” said Jodi Scott, Green Goo Co-Founder and CEO. “Habitat for Humanity, whose team we had the opportunity to volunteer alongside at a local build day, was instrumental in rebuilding the Lyons community following the great floods of 2013. Our family has also witnessed the amazing work that Homeward Alliance is providing to the unhoused population in the Ft. Collins area. During these uncertain times, we feel honored to be able to provide essential products to these organizations, but more importantly, to shine a light on their heroic efforts. We can’t wait to continue to spread goodness to organizations all across the country in the weeks to come.”

“It might’ve seemed like a small thing last year, but this year all the small things add up to one big response,” remarked Homeward Alliance Executive Director David Rout. “Big thanks to Green Goo for this amazing donation of hand sanitizer. This will help protect our staff, volunteers and guests for months!”

To enter the $100,000 Pay It Forward Giveaway for an opportunity to win a $500 Green Goo product gift basket and to donate hand sanitizer to the organization of your choice, visit the entry form page via the Green Goo website. To simply nominate a worthy organization for donation consideration without entering the giveaway, visit the alternate submission form, also available at GreenGoo.com.

Additionally, throughout the Pay It Forward campaign, Green Goo customers will also receive a free 16 oz. bottle of the brand’s mineral-rich bath salts ($19.95 value), along with free shipping, on all orders over $50 via the Green Goo website.

Spanning the 2020 holiday season, Green Goo’s Season of Goodness will encompass a series of weekly product giveaways, customer contests, flash sales, and charitable donations, in addition to shared stories, favorite recipes, and inspirational anecdotes from the brand’s team members. Furthermore, as the brand has done since April 2020, Green Goo plans to continue donating a percentage of their hand sanitizer sales each month to one local Colorado organization and one national/international organization making a positive impact in the world.
