Board-certified otolaryngologist and facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon Neil A. Gordon of the New England Surgical Center, LLC, located at The Retreat at Split Rock, was honored to be invited as a highly-respected international expert on facial rejuvenation to the 11th Annual International Conference of the Pan Asian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The prestigious 2023 International Conference of Facial Plastic Surgery featured an 11-Day Facial Plastic Surgery Course in beautiful Singapore.

The Pan Asian Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PAAFPRS) promotes the training and practices of Facial Plastic Surgery in Asia (FPSA). It is a member of the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies (IFFPSS). The international conference and gala dinner occurred at the Regent Hotel on February 21-22, 2023, with combined lectures and structured instruction at the Auditorium/Surgical skills laboratory, at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Carlton Hotel in Singapore on February 18-28, 2023.

During the 11-Day Facial Plastic Surgery Course, Dr. Neil A. Gordon, M.D., served as an international teacher of honor. During the course on aesthetic surgery on February 21-22, he shared his clinical expertise and advanced research on deep-plane facelift techniques, brow lifting, and other innovations in aesthetic surgery. Dr. Gordon also demonstrated the deep-plane facelift and other strategic methods during the cadaver dissections.

Vertical Galea Advancement

Dr. Gordon has developed the advanced vertical galea procedure, which replaces the eyebrow lift. The goal of the treatment is to achieve the same soft tissue tone in the upper and lower face; the procedure is frequently performed with a deep-plane facelift.

Instead of lifting the brows, Dr. Gordon skillfully raises the galea, the underlying layer, to invisibly improve the upper face while creating total facial balance as the adjustment assists nasolabial folds and the neck.
