Frederick F. Buechel, Jr. M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and founder of the Robotic Joint Center. In his new role, Dr. Buechel’s leadership will guide the robotic knee surgery program’s growth and development to better serve the needs of patients. Frederick F. Buechel, Jr., M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is an expert in partial and total knee joint replacements. He is the founder of the Robotic Joint Center in NYC and Taipei Postal Hospital in Taiwan. He graduated from Rutgers University Medical School and attended Drexel University in Philadelphia for his orthopedic surgery residency. Dr. Buechel then completed his fellowship training at the University of Pennsylvania. He was in private practice where he started the Mako™ robotic program in Naples, FL, in 2009. Dr. Buechel spent 5 years living in Singapore and Taiwan as a surgeon and consultant, operating and teaching surgeons in Asia and Australia how to perform Mako™ robotic knee and hip replacement.
