“The 2020 theme is Join the Voices for Recovery: Celebrating Connections. And what better way is there to celebrate connections during the coronavirus pandemic than to join together with family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to celebrate their recovery (virtually).” – Patty McCarthy, CEO

National Recovery Month has been a fixture of the Recovery movement for 30 years and starting this September the development of future themes and assets, as well as the management of the events calendar, will belong to Faces & Voices of Recovery and as always, the Recovery Community.

National Recovery Month (Recovery Month) is an international observance held each September to educate and inform people about mental health and substance use services that can allow individuals and their loved ones to once again live healthy and rewarding lives. This yearly observance celebrates the millions of people in recovery and reminds us all that behavioral health is an essential component to an overall happy life. National Recovery Month is an opportunity to tell the world that prevention works, that treatment is effective, and that people can, and do, recover!

Faces & Voices of Recovery has launched a brand-new website for Recovery Month: NationalRecoveryMonth.org. This website will serve as the central location for recovery events, information and assets that make our celebrations possible during the month of September.
