The highly anticipated documentary, “Below the Belt,” will be screened in Vancouver on April 19th at the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver. March is Endometriosis Awareness Month and Acubalance Wellness Centre, Olive Fertility, and Jane are the proud hosts of this exclusive screening.

“Below the Belt” is executive produced by Hillary Rodham Clinton, Rosario Dawson, Corinne Foxx, and Mae Whitman.

The film follows the personal and inspiring stories of four patients urgently searching for answers to mysterious symptoms and exposes widespread problems in our healthcare systems.

Through the lens of endometriosis, a disease that affects 1 in 9 women, the film shows how women are often dismissed, discounted & disbelieved. From societal taboos and gender bias to ineffective drugs and surgeries, women are erroneously told that pregnancy and hysterectomy are cures. Nearly 50% of infertility cases are due to endometriosis and almost all are preventable. This film reveals how millions are effectively silenced and how, by fighting back, they can improve healthcare for everyone.
