EMT Unveils New Air and Surface Purification Systems Validated 99.9% Effective Against COVID-19

” Once the Ionized Hydrogen Peroxide systems were tested effective to eliminate the virus, it became difficult to keep up with demand,” Randall Mount, CEO

Extreme Microbial Technologies (EMT), a leading air and surface purification innovator, today announced its latest line of systems for industrial and residential use that have been validated 99.9 percent effective against COVID-19 after evaluation by the University of Louisville, Center for Predictive Medicine.

The new suite of Microbial Area Kleeners (or MAK) systems produce a constant stream of Ionized Hydrogen Peroxide into an indoor environment to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and many other microbial contaminants found in the air and on surfaces. The systems are the latest generation of air and surface decontamination devices created to protect people and processes in closed environments where bacteria and viruses can easily spread, and the first line of units to be designed and manufactured exclusively by EMT.

“Over the past several years, we’ve built a successful and steady business around a process and solution that identifies microbial load in an area and customizes a solution powerful enough to eliminate the contaminants and create a safe and working/living environment,” said EMT CEO Randall Mount.

“The market was rather niche until the introduction of COVID-19. Once the Ionized Hydrogen Peroxide systems were tested effective to eliminate the virus, it became difficult to keep up with demand, especially when relying on a third-party product manufacturer,” Mount added.

In 2020, EMT experienced unprecedented company growth. Demand for its proven decontamination solutions rose by 300% and became a critical lifeline for businesses looking to stay open safely during the ongoing global pandemic. Based on that growth and demand, EMT decided to take control of the development and manufacturing of its own designs to better manage supply to ensure quicker delivery.

In 2021, EMT’s new MAK systems make improvements from previous models including a more robust design with commercial grade steel and more user-friendly design features enabling easier maintenance.

Custom built for any indoor environment, the MAK line includes Inline (HVAC) and three sizes of wall mounted units in addition to industrial decontamination systems for spaces larger than 20,000 cubic feet. The units have been university validated to continually reduce microbial contamination of molds, bacteria and viruses including COVID-19 and H1N1.

While minimal exposure to COVID-19 can still lead to infections, top infectious disease experts also believe that higher viral loads can greatly affect outcomes. Heavier exposure to COVID-19 droplets can make symptoms worse and cause more damage to individuals.

EMT systems are protecting medical and dental offices, food production facilities and retail stores across the U.S. in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, new MAK units are being installed in the commercial fishing industry, nursing homes, elementary schools, doctor’s offices and the cannabis industry.

EMT’s patented four-step solution first quantifies and identifies the amount of microbial load in an environment, then cleans the environment with its proprietary portable equipment while collecting pathogen load data. Once the area has been cleaned, EMT installs the appropriate air and surface purification system and continues to measure the pathogen levels in real time to ensure the environment to give business owners and homeowners piece of mind.
