Electromedical Products International, Inc. (EPI) has named Andrew J. Miclot as President to accelerate the company’s mission to provide fast, safe, and effective, non-pharmaceutical treatment to people suffering from anxiety, insomnia, depression, and pain using EPI’s Alpha-Stim® handheld brain stimulation device.

Founder Dr. Daniel L. Kirsch established EPI in 1981. He and his wife, Tracey B. Kirsch have shepherded the company to success, including more than 100 clinical studies citing the effectiveness of Alpha-Stim technology. Both Dr. Kirsch and Mrs. Kirsch will remain on the Board of the Directors as Mr. Miclot transitions into the President role. Tracey B. Kirsch will become EPI’s Chief Executive Officer.

“We are delighted to bring someone of Andrew’s caliber to lead EPI at a time when Covid-19 is affecting so many people who could benefit from using the Alpha-Stim,” said Mrs. Kirsch. “His past successes enhancing shareholder value and his mentoring leadership style will help accelerate our mission to help patients and provide an excellent work environment for our team here in Texas and distribution network worldwide.”

Dr. Daniel L. Kirsch, who is a board-certified pain specialist by the American Academy of Pain Management, commented, “It’s difficult to hand over the keys to someone when the vehicle represents your life’s work, and we will remain engaged in the company during the transition. We look forward to welcoming Andrew and his wife to Mineral Wells and the EPI family. We anticipate continued success under his leadership.”

“My goal is to continue the path that the Kirsch’s have so clearly laid out and work with the EPI team to amplify the message that there IS a clear choice for people dealing with anxiety, insomnia, depression, and pain that is drug-free, safe, and amazingly affordable,” remarked Miclot. “The fact that Alpha-Stim is broadly used today by the Veterans Administration (VA) and Department of Defense (DoD) to help veterans and Service Members gives us great pride and we hope to help many more people in the near future.”

Andrew Miclot has had success in growing a wide range of medical device companies, ranging from early stage to Fortune 500 medical device companies.
