Dr Philip Sobash Scholarship Still Accepting Applications from Future Doctors

Students in the United States are facing difficulties due to the rising cost of education, especially those who embark on the long road through medical school to become a doctor. Dr Philip Sobash should know, he’s been there first hand. When asked about the scholarship, Dr Sobash stated, “I understand the struggles that students are dealing with right now. I felt that it was important to try to give a little bit back to the future doctors. I mentor some students currently, and after speaking to them and discussing medical school, i felt there was a need for more funding opportunities to the future life savers. Hopefully my scholarship will increase awareness and prompt more medical doctors to create similar offers.”

The Doctor Philip Sobash Scholarship for Future Medical Doctors was launched earlier this year, and is still open to applications from current students who would like to be in the running to receive the scholarship funds. The deadline to apply is in December, and a winner will be awarded the funds in January.

When asked about the process, Dr Sobash added, “I was asked who qualifies for the scholarship, and we are leaving it open to any current university student who plans to attend medical school in the future, and we even opened up the opportunity to high school students who dream of becoming a doctor.
