American Qigong Grand Master Dame Dr. Effie Chow, Ph.D, born on September 28th, the same day as Confucious, travels the world teaching the gentle martial art of Qigong and proper breathing techniques, breathing that is centered on the diaphragm, and the source importance of water. “Breathing properly and drinking enough water are the first things I always teach,” says Chow. To illustrate her point, Chow begins her visit with talk radio host Sharon Kleyne by leading Kleyne and listeners on a brief, highly effective breathing meditation exercise.

Kleyne, about to enter her thirteenth year as host of the nationally syndicated weekly talk radio program, The Sharon Kleyne Hour Water Life Science®/Nature’s Pharma®, The Power of Water® & Your Health sponsored by Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® on VoiceAmerica produced by Rose Hong, founder/director of Global Dragon TV in Washington, D.C., teaches that “we on this planet forget that everything starts with water.

In an informative, interesting Introduction, Kleyne teaches listeners “to observe the mirror in the water. See the first drop, the formation of the streams, ponds, rivers, creeks, lakes, oceans and aquifers. See evaporation. That evaporation comes from the water. Evaporation is you. Water is you.”

Kleyne goes on teach that the evaporation is like a lightning rod or socket in a wall. “An electrical charge is so subtle that people can forget it,” says Kleyne. “Yet, without the water there is no life. There is no Time. There is no Eternity without water. Breathe in the water, and you have to drink it. Use your common sense. Drink!”

Chow, a World War II Chinese refugee who spent years as a research nurse at Stanford University and works with governments and individuals around the world, has been involved with studies of DNA in cancer, liver research and morbid obesity. She is a self-professed lifelong dreamer who also encourages dreamers to strive toward their visions. “I agree with everything you say in your beautiful Introduction,” says Chow to Kleyne. Chow agrees that it is a challenge to find good drinking water. Chow directs her clients to drink ten 8-ounce glasses of water a day, Larger people should drink 12-ounce glasses. “Drinking water daily hydrates the organs, including the skin,” teaches Chow.

Chow’s system seeks to balance the client’s Qi, or energy, so she coaches spiritual, mind and body exercises. “We are the heavens,” declares Chow. “We are God. We are the universe. We are connected to everyone and everything.” Chow believes that we must always discover “the research protocol to study live energy rather than dead tissue”.
