Dr. Alexandra Chaux, Physical Therapist will be opening her new Physical Therapy Clinic at 325 East Hillcrest Drive #190, Thousand Oaks California 91360.

Doctor Alexandra Chaux, DPT, received her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from A.T. Still University in Mesa Arizona in 2010. Prior to That she graduated from Universidad Del Valle, in Cali, Colombia in 2001, with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.

At Chaux Physical Therapy, Dr. Chaux brings a wide variety of techniques and modalities she has learned in Colombia as a Physical Therapist as well as the latest techniques learned in Spain, and the United States for over twenty years.

“Often the pain in a particular area or joint can have a root cause elsewhere in the body. I approach treatments holistically and spend a great deal of time and effort on the initial evaluations of my clients and patients. To achieve great outcomes from treatment, I have dedicated myself to learning the newest treatments and methods that are currently available,” Dr. Chaux states.

Key Treatments offered are most women’s issues including Post-Partum Recovery, Breast Cancer, Cesarean Section issues, and other abdominal issues. For all patients Dr. Chaux provides therapeutic stretching/education, Balance and Fall Prevention training, and Therapeutic Yoga techniques.

Dr. Alexandra is a student for life, always taking classes and learning the latest techniques in Physical Therapy. Recently she earned a certification in Cortical Field Re-education Level 1, Functional Visceral Mobilization, Certified Yoga Instructor, and Kinesiology Taping Practitioner Certification in California.

Dr. Chaux is also certified in the Abdominal Hypopressive Level 1 and 2 which offers many benefits for both men and women’s core strength and health. She went to Spain in January 2014 for several weeks to earn her certification from Doctor Marcel Caufriez , the creator of the Hypopressive Method. The Hypopressive Method focuses on core and abdominal health by reducing pressure in the abdomen and its resulting issues.
