“The glowing reviews of our Glow Ride from participants and media would make my daughter, Claire, so proud,” said Claire’s Place Foundation Executive Director Melissa Yeager.

Claire’s Place Foundation, a non-profit organization providing support to children and families affected by cystic fibrosis (CF), is proud to announce their eighth annual Glow Ride for CF.
Awarded “Fundraiser of the Year” finalist by the Los Angeles Business Journal, Glow Ride 2022 is set to illuminate California’s Hermosa Beach Pier. From bikers to skaters, the event is full of family-fun and selfie opportunities. Fox 11 Morning News & Good Day LA Morning Reporter Sandra Endo will kick-off the event as the Glow Ride Master of Ceremonies. Lace up your skates, jump on your board, glow up your bike and get glowing to the sounds of DJ Potira and the Soundbox Truck music beats. New this year is a full 360 degree photo booth experience. Grab a friend, stand on the platform and get ready to share spectacular videos on social media. Extend the night fireside at Vista Hermosa Beach. Fire pits will be reserved on their outdoor patio for glow riders from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Gather before the Glow Ride or after for dinner and drinks!
“The glowing reviews of our Glow Ride from participants and media would make my daughter, Claire, so proud,” said Claire’s Place Foundation Executive Director Melissa Yeager. “Learning the magic of giving at a young age was extremely important to Claire and is woven into the event. Another powerful youth is this year’s Glow Ride Ambassador Massimo Armato, a seven year-old living with CF. His mother is Stacey Armato, former Mayor of Hermosa Beach and current Hermosa Beach City Council Member. Massimo will represent our CF warriors at the event on August 27th.”
The Glow Ride for CF raises funds specifically to support the Claire’s Place Foundation Extended Hospital Stay Grant Program. This program funds essential living expenses for individuals and families living with CF during extended hospital stays. Tickets are $45 and include a Glow Ride t-shirt.
The Glow Ride offers a virtual option. Communities across the globe can join together and fundraise in their own neighborhoods. Simply register online.
On Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 5:30 p.m., the short 3.4 mile ride will make a big scene on the Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach Piers; and make an even bigger impact on families with CF. The 2022 Annual Glow Ride welcomes Vertex Pharmaceuticals, NorthStar Moving Company, World of Sound Productions, Athens Services, Hermosa Cyclery, Manhattan Dermatology, Withum, Viatris, True Lemon, Soundbox Truck, UCLA Health, Vista Hermosa Beach and Santa Benzina Coffee as event sponsors.
