Chapters Health System, one of the nation’s premier not-for-profit, community-based healthcare organizations headquartered in Temple Terrace, announced today that Sheri Strobel, CPA, will start as the new chief information officer (CIO) on Monday, December 28, 2020. Strobel is succeeding the retiring and current CIO Sheryl Sypek.
“We are excited to promote Sheri from her current role as vice president of information systems and technology to our new CIO,” said Andrew Molosky, MBA, FACHE, CHPCA, president and chief executive officer for Chapters Health. “Since February 2020 when she joined the Chapters Health family, Sheri has led many of our organization’s major initiatives, including but not limited to the implementation of our new electronic medical record with Consolo/WellSky.”
While attending St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Strobel started her healthcare career as a memory care certified nursing assistant at an Alzheimer’s care community. Prior to joining Chapters Health, Strobel was vice president of applications at Brookdale Senior Living in Brentwood, Tennessee, and the director of business applications at Alterra Healthcare in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Strobel is certified as a public accountant, agile leader, product owner and a scrum master, and currently volunteers for the Alzheimer’s Association, Women in Technology International (WITI) and is currently working on her master’s in health information at the University of South Florida.
“Sheri’s wealth of experience leading high-performance teams, as well as a proven history of innovation, will be critical in leading Chapters Health in our continued growth and expansion,” added Molosky.
Sypek recently announced her decision to retire after almost five years with Chapters Health and its affiliates. The organization is in the fortunate position to have a window of concurrent leadership to ensure a seamless transition to begin 2021.
