“When fully operational in all licensed counties, Chapters Health will be the largest, not-for-profit community-based provider from a geographical perspective in the state,” said Andrew Molosky, president/CEO, Chapters Health System

Chapters Health System, the nation’s largest not-for-profit, chronic illness management and end-of-life organization headquartered in Temple Terrace, today announced its expansion plan for Pinellas County. The health system was awarded the certificate of need (CON) for Service Area 5B by the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).

“At Chapters Health, we are always looking for opportunities to increase and expand access to quality healthcare for a greater number of individuals in our communities who are faced with advancing age, complex medical conditions and end-of-life issues,” said Andrew Molosky, MBA, FACHE, CHPCA, president and chief executive officer at Chapters Health. “With this mission in mind and the knowledge that there was an unmet need, we applied and were awarded the CON for Pinellas County or Service Area 5B. We already offered home care services through Chapters Health Home Care, and hospice was a natural extension of our portfolio for the residents of Pinellas County.”

At the beginning of 2020, Chapters Health provided services in 11 Florida counties in west central Florida. Today with the recent affiliation of Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care, Chapters Health expanded its licensed footprint in Florida to 30 counties as well as eight counties in Georgia around the Atlanta area.

“When fully operational in all licensed counties, Chapters Health will be the largest, not-for-profit community-based provider from a geographical perspective in the state — from the Florida/Georgia border almost contiguous to the southern tip of the Sunshine State,” added Molosky.

Chapters Health and its family of affiliates combine to also make the organization number six overall in the country by size with more than 2,500 team members and more than 1,600 volunteers.
