CertifyMe.net, a premier provider of online safety, compliance and U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance, recently announced a series of initiatives, including a new website MEWPCertification.com, to accommodate updated American National Standards Institute (ANSI) safety standards.
The brand new guidelines, ANSI A92.20 and ANSI A92.22, were originally slated for implementation in late 2019. Due to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the standards are now scheduled to begin on June 1, 2020.
“This is an important addition to our family of certification and training platforms,” said Tom Wilkerson, CEO and Founder of CertifyMe.net. “Site supervisors, safety managers and equipment operators are concerned about how the ANSI standards will impact safety. As usual, CertifyMe.net is at the forefront of the educational and certification programs to align all concerned parties with ever-changing safety rules and regulations.”
ANSI A92.20 and A92.22 defined aerial work platforms (AWPs) as mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs). Other key aspects of the updated ANSI guidelines include new group and type designations for MEWPs, along with important design considerations, including:
- Pneumatic tire requirements
- Tilt sensing attributes
- Load sensing standards
- Sustained inventory operation
- And much more
CertifyMe.net’s certification and training programs address the ANSI A92.20 and A92.22 standards, along with OSHA safety regulations. Their offerings include:
- CertifyMeOnline.net – complete MEWP certification programs with unmatched online convenience.
- AerialLiftCertification.com – popular training packages for MEWP certification needs, including the popular Training Kit.
- MEWPCertification.com – brand new site from the CertifyMe.net family of online OSHA and ANSI compliance & training sites, with a new MEWP Certification Course designed to handle the ANSI updates.
“While CMO and ALC have remained go-to certification, training and compliance programs for employers across the U.S., we’re really excited about MEWPCertification.com,” said Mr. Wilkerson. “Our MEWPCertification.com courses include an Aerial Lift & Scissor Lift course, along with a separate Fall Protection certification program. Plus, both courses are available in Spanish, a huge benefit for employers with bi-lingual communication challenges. The addition of MEWPCertification.com reinforces our commitment to our customers everywhere, and we look forward to handling these new compliance challenges for anyone that requires assistance.”
