All classrooms are equipped with SMART Board® technology, calming areas, and their own restrooms. Sensory rooms provide interactive materials, including a platform swing, fiber optics, and Sensory Magic™ technology. Teen Drivers Should Always Get Car Insurance Quotes Quotes Before Making A Purchase

News Image

“Obtaining cheaper car insurance for teenagers can be difficult. However, there are some smart ways that will help teen drivers pay less on their premiums”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Carinsuranceplan.org has launched a new blog post that explains why is important for teen drivers to online car insurance quotes before purchasing any policy.

For more info and free quotes, visit https://carinsuranceplan.org/why-should-teen-drivers-get-quotes-before-buying-car-insurance/

Insurance companies place teen drivers in the high-risk category. Their lack of driving experience and statistics that show teen drivers get involved in more car accidents than any other age group, make the teen drivers be more expensive to be insured. However, there are some ways that will help teen drivers pay less on their insurance premiums:

  • Take advantage of the good student discount. Teen drivers that have at least a 3.0 GPA are eligible for this discount at most insurance companies. The value of the discount varies from one insurance company to another, but it can go as high as 35%. Teen drivers have only to provide the insurance company with the required documents that prove they are good students.
  • Teen drivers should consider enrolling in a defensive driving course. Defensive driving courses will improve the driving skills of a teen driver. Not only that, but by taking a defensive driving course, teen drivers will find out more about their state’s law, the risks they are exposed when driving, and the consequences of DUI or reckless driving. Teen drivers that successfully graduate a defensive driving course are eligible for discounts that vary from 5% to 15%.
  • Remember that not all insurance companies treat teen drivers the same. Many insurance companies are willing to collaborate with teen drivers and provide them with better insurance policies. Some insurance companies will require the teen drivers to sign a driving contract where they accept to always drive carefully and obey the laws, wear their seatbelts, never drive while being drunk or under drugs influence, never use their cell phones while behind the wheels, promise to contribute to the car’s maintenance, and many other important responsibilities.
  • Get on a family plan. Teen drivers should consider joining the family’s policy in order to take advantage of several discounts and perks. Discounts like multi-car discount, good driver discount, no claim discount extend to the whole plan and the overall policy cost might be lower than the price paid on two separate policies.
  • Check car insurance quotes before signing any insurance contracts. Teen drivers should look for insurance companies that offer good prices. Also, teen drivers can find out how the family’s plan can change if they are added to the policy.

DWI Attorney in Austin TX, Jason Katims Now Offers Drug Crime Defense

News Image

“Do Not Plead Your Weed Case Without Talking To Me.”

Drug crimes in Texas can carry harsh penalties, even for minor, nonviolent offenses. That’s why skilled defense attorney Jason Katims is now offering drug crime defense services in Greater Austin.

Drug Possession

The majority of drug crime charges involve possession. In Texas, all drugs fall into one of four categories, each with its own sentencing guidelines. Still, an experienced drug crime defense attorney can often get charges dropped or reduced, obtain diversion for first-time offenders into a drug education program, or otherwise negotiate a more favorable outcome than the accused could manage alone. When asked for comment Mr. Katims said: “Do Not Plead Your Weed Case Without Talking To Me.”

First-Time Marijuana Possession

Although marijuana is illegal at both the federal and state levels, some Texas counties, including Travis County, have decriminalized first-time possession of small amounts. In Travis County, those charged with first-time possession of less than two ounces of marijuana may pay a $45 fine and take a four-hour education class rather than going through the courts. Otherwise, possession of up to two ounces is a Class B misdemeanor, with escalating charges for larger amounts.

Drugs and DWI

Those who drive while under the influence of drugs, including marijuana, can be charged with DWI in Texas. This brings the same penalties as those imposed for driving drunk, along with penalties for possession of the drug.

About Jason Katims, Attorney at Law

Born and raised in Texas, Jason Katims is committed to personal freedom.

In 2018, he was recognized by the American Institute of Legal Advocates as a Rising Star in the field of Criminal Law, and by the Association of American Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 40 Under 40. In 2017, the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys recognized him as one of the 10 Best Attorneys in Texas.

RoosterBio Launches the Only Umbilical Cord hMSC System in the World Designed for Cell Therapy Product Development

This very powerful set of biological tools has now been released into the Regenerative Medicine marketplace, introducing a major step-change in MSC productivity – Jon A. Rowley, PhD, Founder & CPO, RoosterBio

RoosterBio, Inc, a biotechnology market disrupter and leading supplier of innovative human mesenchymal stem/stromal cell (hMSC) biomanufacturing systems, today announces its release of the Regenerative Medicine industry’s first human umbilical cord (hUC) MSC paired cell and media system designed for product development. RoosterBio continues to simplify MSC production by introducing an unprecedented step-change in quantifiable productivity metrics. RoosterVial™-hUC-MSC-XF, allows scientists to generate billions of perinatal cells in a fraction of the time when paired with RoosterBio’s existing xeno-free hMSC plug and play systems. This product line is the only commercially available, high-volume perinatal MSC bioprocess system with a line of sight to towards clinical translation.

“Until now, there was not a hUC-MSC on the market that would support the quality and scale needs of cell therapy product developers,” said RoosterBio Founder & Chief Product Officer Jon A. Rowley, PhD. RoosterBio’s launch of RoosterVial-hUC-MSC-XF introduces another first-in-class hMSC product on the market that simplifies all aspects of product development. “This very powerful set of biological tools has now been released into the Regenerative Medicine marketplace, introducing a major step-change in MSC productivity,” added Dr. Rowley.

The adoption of umbilical cord hMSC product development in Asia and Europe has demonstrated hUC-MSCs are the fastest growing tissue type and second in overall usage within hMSC Regenerative Medicine applications, according to recent global research publications. hUC-MSC product development in North America has been slower to develop due to the lack of availability of this critical raw material.

RoosterBio’s xeno-free hUC-MSCs are isolated from the perivascular Wharton’s Jelly region of the human umbilical cord and is collected after birth. “RoosterBio’s first-in-class characterization of hUC-MSC key quality attributes along with our readily implementable process recommendations gives added confidence in quality, reproducibility, and ease of integration,” said Dr. Rowley. “By introducing new tissue types, we are opening the door to support the incorporation of these new living cellular technologies into product development across the globe.”

Along with RoosterBio’s paired bioprocess media system, RoosterVial-hUC reaches new levels in hMSC expansion in terms of M cells/L media consumed as well as extracellular vesicle (EV) productivity. The product is backed by licensed intellectual property (IP) from Tissue Regeneration Therapeutics (TRT), a Canadian Controlled Private Corporation with a focus on Human Umbilical Cord PeriVascular Cell (HUCPVC) technology.

RoosterBio announced the collaboration with Tissue Regeneration Therapeutics in May 2019 which gave RoosterBio an exclusive worldwide license to TRT’s patent estate related to the manufacture and global sale of human umbilical cord-derived MSCs. The announcement advances both companies shared goal of accelerating the development of the Regenerative Medicine industry.

Visit https://www.roosterbio.com/collections/high-volume-hmscs for more information about RoosterBio’s radically simplified xeno-free hUC-MSCs.

RoosterBio’s products are high-volume, affordable, and well-characterized adult human mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (hMSCs) paired with highly engineered media systems. RoosterBio has simplified and standardized how stem cells are purchased, expanded, and used in development, leading to marked time and costs savings for customers. RoosterBio’s innovative products are ushering in a new era of productivity and standardization into the field, accelerating the road to discovery in Regenerative Medicine. Forecast International Sees Asia as Largest Light Military Rotorcraft Market Over Next 15 Years

News Image

Asia will be the largest and most dynamic regional market during the 2019-2033 forecast period, with key programs getting underway in several countries, such as India, Japan, and South Korea.

Data generated by Forecast International through its innovative Platinum Forecast System 4.0 indicate that several planned new-start acquisition programs will kick-start demand in the long term in the light military rotorcraft market. Forecast International projects that 1,854 light military rotorcraft will be produced during the 15-year timeframe between 2019 and 2033.

The value of this production is estimated at $29 billion (in constant 2019 U.S. dollars). In general, the Connecticut-based defense intelligence firm defines a light military rotorcraft as having a maximum gross weight of less than 6,804 kilograms (15,000 lb).

Production of light military rotorcraft is forecast to increase to 155 units in 2019, from 153 in 2018. The annual output is then projected to decline over the next several years and average about 111 units beginning in 2026 and extending to the end of the 15-year forecast period.

Re-equipment cycles are nearing an end in the U.S. and many European countries, and the next round of fleet modernization programs for these nations is still some years away. According to Forecast International senior aerospace analyst Raymond Jaworowski, “Asia will be the largest and most dynamic regional market during the 2019-2033 forecast period, with key programs getting underway in several countries, such as India, Japan, and South Korea.” Indeed, India has a number of stated future requirements for light rotorcraft, totaling hundreds of helicopters, but budgetary and other factors could result in some of these efforts being delayed or even shelved.

Toward the end of the forecast period, production will ramp up for key programs such as the U.S. Army’s Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program and the French military’s Helicoptere Interarmees Leger (HIL) effort, setting the stage for a return to market growth.

Forecast International projects that production for the FARA program will be worth an estimated $4.8 billion by 2033, representing 16.6 percent of the market by value and 8.7 percent by unit production. Also, production of the FARA platform will continue well beyond 2033.

Plans call for the FARA contract to be awarded following a staged downselect and a competitive fly-off. Five companies are currently engaged in initial development work for the program: Bell, Boeing. Karem Aircraft, Sikorsky, and a team of AVX Aircraft and L3Harris.

Overall, Forecast International’s market share projections indicate that China’s AVIC will lead the light military rotorcraft market in unit production, producing 331 units over the 15-year forecast period for a market share of 17.9 percent. Airbus Helicopters is next, with production of 324 units for a 17.5 percent share. Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) of India is third on production of 245 units, representing a 13.2 percent share. Bell is projected to be fourth, with production of 173 units for a 9.3 percent share. Finally, KAI of South Korea will rank fifth, with production of 145 rotorcraft for a 7.8 percent market share.

The Platinum Forecast System 4.0 is a breakthrough in forecasting technology that enables customized market assessments to be created based on proprietary Forecast International production forecasts and data. Using the Platinum system, clients can quickly identify both market risk and future opportunities. System types and platforms, national currencies, geographic regions, and more can all be input into the system as criteria to create distinct market segments for evaluation. Market trends and shares are displayed graphically, and all data are complemented by full market reports, Forecast Rationales, Excel spreadsheets, and more.

ACT.md Launches Statewide Social Determinants Alliance for Massachusetts Healthcare Providers and Non-Profit Organizations

To address surging interest in the social determinants of health among healthcare providers and non-profit organizations in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, ACT.md has today announced the formation of a statewide alliance to design, develop, and implement solutions for Massachusetts non-profit and community-based organizations to work more closely with the state’s world-renowned healthcare community.

Starting September 1, ACT.md, a national provider of collaboration software for social determinants of health (SDOH), will kick-start a series of conversations, roundtables, and in-depth development and beta-testing with institutions across the state to facilitate collaboration between the healthcare and nonprofit sectors. The alliance’s goal will be to create real-world technology solutions to manage, track, and report on referrals from healthcare systems to social services providers.

“The intent of this Alliance is to help establish best practices, protocols, and tools for linking healthcare organizations with the community resources that deliver local services and supports to people in need,” said Ted Quinn, ACT.md’s CEO and Co-Founder. “The healthcare system knows its patients, but the community organizations know the local landscape. Over the next four months, ACT.md will engage directly with nonprofits and healthcare systems across Massachusetts to design and prototype technical solutions for SDOH.”

“Health Leads has been championing collaborations between the healthcare and nonprofit sectors for years,” said Dr. Damon Francis, Chief Clinical Officer of Health Leads, “so we welcome the opportunity to be part of this kind of dialogue. The more partners and perspectives we can connect in this critical conversation, the better our prospects are for advancing health equity.”

Healthcare reform is a main driver of this effort. As in many states, policymakers in Massachusetts recognize the important role that social and economic factors such as housing, healthy food, and income play in a “whole person” approach to health care. Beginning in January 2020, the state will be investing tens of millions of dollars in a project called Flexible Services:

  • $149 million will be available to test whether healthcare providers can improve patient health outcomes and reduce total cost of care by working with local social services organizations to meet patients’ health-related social needs, such as homelessness and food insecurity.
  • The state is also launching a $4.5 million Preparation Fund to support participating social services organizations as they innovate around technology, data exchange, business practices, and other areas where close collaborative communication with ACO partners is needed.

“For the past two decades, the United Way has been investing to build the leading directory to assist thousands of people across the Commonwealth,” said Paul L. Mina, President & CEO, Mass2-1-1. “Individuals and families turn to 211 for information and support—whether financial, housing, health or disaster-related services. We’re looking for meaningful ways to innovate our referral and information helpline and website that connects people of all ages and from all communities. We’re excited about the new initiatives across the Commonwealth to meet and fund such needs.

According to experts at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation1, the evidence base for the cost-effectiveness of addressing social need is strongest for high-need populations, such as Medicaid enrollees, who are low-income by definition. Efforts to integrate social services organizations with the healthcare system, such as the Massachusetts Flexible Services program, have widespread support among leaders of social services organizations, such as Mass2-1-1 and East Boston Social Centers.

“Communities across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are developing and deploying new integrated program and service models to meet the needs of their communities,” said Justin Pasquariello, Executive Director, East Boston Social Centers. “At the East Boston Social Centers, we are developing a collective impact approach with our community partners toward a vision of ensuring all children enter Kindergarten ready to learn, joyful and thriving – and their families have the resources they need to support this. We will leverage our network of services providers, technology partners, and community partners to achieve this vision in these dynamic times in Massachusetts.”
