Where Faith Confronts Depression” provides aid to Christians who struggle with depression

News Image

“Light in a Dark Place” is an unrestricted depiction of the pain Christians experience while trying to reconcile seasons of depression with the idea that faith should shield believers from pain. Harrington asks, “Are you a Christian who battles depression? Have you wondered why your faith isn’t meeting your needs?” The book breaks down desperate, spiritual questions into digestible nuggets, which show how to make a faith walk practical.

There has never been a book quite like “Light in a Dark Place”. Christians who struggle with depression or have loved ones who suffer will find the insight contained in the book invaluable. The author, D.M. Harrington, was raised in church and born-again at the age of thirteen but discovered that neither her upbringing nor her devotion would protect her from profound emotional distress. Help came as she intimately engaged God in her pain and found Him to be accessible in times of need. The light that she searched for and found, she freely gives to her readers.

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Harrington’s new book confronts thoughts and feelings often harbored which end up shackling people to the dark. It reveals that much of their pain is their own shredded hands refusing to let go in an invisible tug-of-war with God. But they must let go — of their illusions about life, their irrational expectations, and their preconceptions about God. It is the only route to relief. Those with depression can thrive emotionally, mentally, and relationally in spite of it.

Erith Catlin’s newly released “The Voice Said, ‘Write’” is an enlightening opus on the relevance of God’s biblical commandments in modern times

News Image

“The Voice Said, ‘Write’”: a thought-provoking book that discusses the divine constitution of God’s commandments imparted to mankind in the garden of Eden that is still significant in the modern era. “The Voice Said, ‘Write’” is the creation of published author Erith Catlin, a native of Barbados and a retired life insurance salesman with American General Life and Accident Ins. Co.

Catlin shares, “Six thousand years ago, God pronounced a curse upon this earth because of Adam’s disobedience in Eden.

“The message of this book is a clarion call to twenty-first-century man to obey God’s four commands given in Eden whereby evil will be held in check.

“God got this author’s attention to write this book by one word spoken in his ear. It was back in 2011, he heard one word—write.

“The author did not know what subject God wanted him to write about, but then the impression came to his mind to write about creation and the fall of man.

“God gave man four commands! Number 4 is not really a command. It is really following God’s example of resting and worshiping. If man worshiped God and held His name in sanctity, that would virtually wipe out crime and divorce. True worshipers will honor those two words of commitment that they made at the wedding altar—‘I do.’ See Genesis 1:31. Crime and divorce, gone.

“Number 3 command is reproducing and subduing the earth (Gen. 1:28).

“The number 2 command is not to eat what God forbid (Gen. 2:16–17 and 1:29–30). Daniel adhered to this (Dan. 1:8).

“Command number 1 (work) is in Genesis 2:15–16. Dress the garden and keep it. God gave Adam a world that was ‘very good’ while the twenty-first-century man has a world that is very bad.

“God is saying to twenty-first-century man, ‘If you keep what you are doing, you will keep getting what you are getting. Obey my commands and eat the good of the land.’

“The message of the book? Honor God’s creation. Love Him with all your heart, soul, and body and your neighbor as yourself. When the twenty-first-century man lives this way, evil will be held in check, and world conditions will improve.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Erith Catlin’s new book inspires readers to uphold God’s handiwork and decrees and earn His blessing.

This book beholds reverberating insights that show the benevolence of God for those who seek His grace and follow Him wholeheartedly.

David Hawkins’s newly released “What You Can Learn From the Teachings of Jesus” presents a compelling discovery throughout the lessons and parables in the Bible

News Image

“What You Can Learn From the Teachings of Jesus”: an illuminating source of knowledge about Jesus’s identity, His teachings about the Holy Spirit and sin, His faith, the meaning of serving God and His people and being a good example without falling back, the way to heaven, and His parables. “What You Can Learn From the Teachings of Jesus” is the creation of published author David Hawkins, a professor in both pharmacy and medical schools in Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, and California for more than 40 years. His research and scholarly activities led to more than 100 published papers in the pharmacy and medical literature and 200 scientific and professional presentations at national and international meetings. He also taught the Bible for more than 30 years. He was ordained as deacon and served as a lay leader in churches.

Hawkins shares, “The teachings of Jesus include one hundred and one didactic lessons and forty parables that challenge the mind and the heart. Jesus taught with authority, and people listened and learned from him the things they needed to know.

“The didactic lessons teach us who Jesus is, how we can be filled with the Holy Spirit, what the nature of sin is, what the purpose of prayer is, how to serve God and others, how to be a good example, what things we should avoid in life, how to get to heaven, and how to be a disciple of Christ.

“The parables illustrate a spiritual or moral truth. Understanding a parable requires one to study it diligently and seek to learn its spiritual or moral meaning. Parables reveal truth only to those who desire to know what is true and maintain an open mind and eagerness to learn.

“If you can learn all that Jesus taught, you will be richly blessed and well prepared to live the best life and travel down the narrow road that leads to heaven.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, David Hawkins’s new book shares a mind-clearing manuscript that expounds, in the simplest way possible, Jesus’s teachings that will inspire readers to meditate on the Scriptures. The book also aims to provide everyone instructions on serving God, being a good disciple, and living the best life under His guidance.

Pond Lehocky racks up 7 marketing awards

Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano is proud to announce that it has won seven 2019 MarCom awards and received honorable mention in another four categories.

Pond Lehocky was named a Platinum Award Winner—MarCom’s top level—in the following categories:

  •     Print Media – Design – Illustration/Graphic Design
  •     Print Media – Writing – Editorial
  •     Print Media – Writing – Feature Article

The firm was also named a Gold Award winner in these categories:

  •     Print Media – Advertising – Newspaper (Ad)
  •     Digital Media – Website – Legal
  •     Digital Media – Design – Website Redesign
  •     Video/Audio – Television – Promotion

In addition, the firm won honorable mention for entries in the Print Media – Design – Ad, Strategic Communications – Marketing/Promotional Campaign – Branding Refresh, Video/Audio – Video/Film – Marketing Product or Service, and Video/Audio – Television – Single Spot categories.

MarCom Awards honor excellence in marketing and communication while recognizing the creativity, hard work and generosity of industry professionals. Since its inception in 2004, MarCom has become one of the largest, most-respected creative competitions in the world.

Approximately 6,000 print and digital entries from dozens of countries are submitted each year. The awards recognize corporate marketing departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, production companies and freelancers. Winners range from size from to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.

Historically, about 15 percent of entries have won Platinum Awards, 20 percent have won the Gold Awards and 10 percent have won Honorable Mention.

The awards are a vindication for Pond Lehocky’s new marketing model under Chief Marketing Officer Corinne Bolaños, who joined the firm as vice president of marketing last November and was promoted to CMO after just six months.

“Winning always feels good, but these wins feel like a true and genuine representation of our team efforts and how much we have grown over the past year together,” Bolaños said. “It is such an achievement to win awards as a law firm across a multitude of mediums—we won for an illustration, video/audio, print, copywriting, newspaper ads and more.”

Bolaños brought big-time marketing credentials and experience with her to the Pond Lehocky executive team. She previously served as a creative strategist at Pinterest and associate creative director at VaynerMedia, a global social media-focused advertising agency.

Since coming to Pond Lehocky, Bolaños has sought to modernize the firm’s marketing strategy. To start, Bolaños has built the marketing team using an agency model unique to law firms. She has organized the team into “a cross-platform craft collaboration” of the three marketing units—direct marketing, content marketing and events—supported by a studio team that executes all the art, design, copy and production.

With the new organization, the team’s productivity has been enhanced and has led to increased requests. The new collaboration has improved time management and organization as well. The MarCom awards show that productivity is not the only thing that has improved under the new model—the quality has become first-rate.

“It’s impressive and outstanding that an in-house legal marketing team can go up against marketing agencies,” Bolaños said. “I am very proud of the work that went into it all.”

Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano opened its doors in July 2010 with six attorneys and only 22 total staff members. Today, it is the largest workers’ compensation and Social Security disability law firm in the region with over 200 staff members. The firm has expanded nationwide with offices in New Jersey, New York and California. It has recently added new practice areas for workers, including employment law and long-term disability, and has a national referral network, which has helped 86,000 clients with referrals.

Scalp Acupuncture For Global Neural Disorders By Remapping Brain Discussed By Sharon Kleyne & Dr. Jason Hao

Date aired: November 11th, 2019

Guest: Dr. Jason Hao, Chairman Acupuncture Committee of the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, President, Board of Directors at Southwest Acupuncture College, President, the International Academy of Scalp Acupuncture. http://www.neuroacupunctureinstitute.org

Like her recent talk radio show guest, Dr. Jason Hao, practitioner of the ancient Chinese technique of acupuncture, new water technology researcher Sharon Kleyne is passionately interested in finding cures rather than masking symptoms of disease, addiction and sickness. “There could be a clue out there that the earth wants to teach us,” says Kleyne, “and that’s what this radio show is all about.”

The radio show is Kleyne’s internationally syndicated weekly talk radio program, The Sharon Kleyne Hour Water Life Science®/Nature’s Pharma®, The Power of Water® & Your Health sponsored by Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® on VoiceAmerica and sponsored by Global Dragon TV and producer Rose Hong.

Kleyne’s guest, Dr. Jason Hao, has multiple degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Hao, disciple of the legendary Jiao Shunfa, founder of Chinese scalp acupuncture, Yu Zhishun, professor of scalp acupuncture development, and Sun Shentian, professor of scalp acupuncture research, has been teaching classes and seminars in scalp acupuncture and acupuncture in the West since 1989. He has taught scalp acupuncture seminars sponsored by UCLA and Stanford for the last nine years and gave a noted scalp acupuncture seminar at Walter Reed Medical Center where he demonstrated scalp acupuncture treatment of phantom limb pain for veterans. Hao’s case histories have been printed in the U.S. Army publication Stripes, in Alternative Therapies and in China Daily.

Kleyne and Hao are closely following recent brain science for additional clues to treating a host of diseases and addictions and finding cures for them. “All of our activities are controlled by the brain,” says Hao. “When something goes wrong it is usually a nerve issue.”

Kleyne adds that the nerve endings and electrolytic connection between the brain and earth’s water atmosphere can be interfered with, thus contributing to neural and brain health issues. Hao agrees, “saying that recent studies have led to a better understanding of acupuncture’s benefits beyond pain relief. “Work on the central nervous system can change brain activity,” says Hao. “We can now rewire nerves and remap the brain. We have more than 30 billion nerve endings in the nervous system and they are all communicating.”

Kleyne and Hao note that veterans everywhere and more than millions of children with autism worldwide can and should benefit from acupuncture and scalp acupuncture. “At acupuncture conferences,” says Kleyne, “insurance companies should be invited so that they can become educated and see how much money they would save if they covered acupuncture treatments.”

“We have had great success,” adds Hao, “treating patients with acupuncture who suffer from PTSD, Parkinson’s, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, paralysis, lost limbs and anxiety.”

Kleyne and Hao urge listeners and readers to visit http://www.neuroacupunctureinstitute.org for more information.

If you would like to listen to a conversation with Dr. Jason Hao, Chairman Acupuncture Committee of the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, President, Board of Directors at Southwest Acupuncture College and President of the International Academy of Scalp Acupuncture and Health Olympics inventor, advocate for new water technology education and research Sharon Kleyne about acupuncture for stroke, PTSD, autism, cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, and addiction, follow this link: https://www.voiceamerica.com/episode/118623/neuroacupuncture-for-stroke-autism-and-cerebral-palsy

New Strength” is a brilliant discussion that allows an individual to reformulate and organize the chaos in his life

“Our Next Steps: New Strength”: an important tackling of subjects that shed light on the connection that binds man’s body, mind, and spirit with God. “Our Next Steps: New Strength” is the creation of published author Andre Gilbert, a brilliant writer who shares his knowledge and insights through his works to inform and inspire many.

Gilbert shares, “Life has a lot to do with having energy. Our body being able to produce good energy from what we take in on a daily basis is critical to the health of our body, mind, and spirit; they’re all linked whether we acknowledge that fact or not.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re poor or rich, what color, what race, what culture, or what religion—we all have the same natural body, and it needs natural sources of energy.

“I’ve given a bird’s eye view of where we are as planet and species because knowing is half the battle. I’ve also lit up the path in the right direction because doing something about it is the other half. It’s better to crawl in the right direction than the run in the wrong.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Andre Gilbert’s new book is an intelligent read that dives deep into issues that alter humanity in its emotional and physical state. In here, subjects seldom addressed and disclosed are revealed.
