“There Is A Winner In You with Life Principles For Winning” is the creation of published author, Wm. (Bill) G. Seavey, Founder of Bill Seavey Ministries.

Seavey writes, “To the reader of this book – you must forget those things, which are behind and move into your future. Change addresses.

You may have lost a few rounds, but the fight is not over until God says it’s over and not one second before. God has been very busy exposing the winner in you. Give it time to surface. Oftentimes, the winner in you is hidden from your view because it’s buried under the depths of your failures. But God knows exactly where it is and He knows all the right buttons to push.

What is God up to? He is exposing Himself through you for others to see. “Let your light so shine (or in such a way_ before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. – (Matthew 5:16NKJV)

“In his encouraging book, There Is A Winner In You,” Bill offers readers a positive glimpse into the life of a winner. Sharing both Scriptures and uplifting stories from his personal life, he takes the reader on a journey from underdog to The Winners Circle. A helpful book for anyone looking to become a

Champion he or she desires to be.”

Dr. David Bernhard Bowers’s newly released “The Churches of Revelation” is a gripping publication providing great discussions about the promised day of God’s coming

News Image

“The Churches of Revelation: Exploring the Revelation of Jesus Christ in modern times”: a stirring book that dissects the real essence of the verses written within its pages. When one talks about the Revelation, most tend to shun its contents, as different interpretations are being spread, leaving a horrendous image about this fascinating narrative. This printed work aims to educate that the Revelation is not a day to be frightened of, but a day to praise, for it is a completion of God’s promise to His children. “The Churches of Revelation: Exploring the Revelation of Jesus Christ in modern times” is the creation of published author Dr. David Bernhard Bowers, a writer of both fiction and non-fiction centering on Biblical anecdotes and commentary. He has BS, MA, and Doctorate degrees under his name, and is currently living with his amazing wife on a Midwestern wildlife farm.

Dr. Bowers shares, “Every student of the Bible approaches the book of Revelation with a sense of awe as they attempt to fold the greatness of God within the mind of humanity. Many rush to examine the significant prophecies without adequately dealing with the introductory chapters. Exploring the beginning chapters of the Revelation of Jesus Christ with a modern application, Dr. David B. Bowers examines the initial communique given by our Lord to the Apostle John. The churches of Revelation within reflect not only the status of the true Christian church throughout history but also reveal significant elements of the church in modern times that must not be missed.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Dr. David Bernhard Bowers’s new book is an astonishing work written to evangelize the reality found in the script of the book of Revelation—the Biblical piece that non-believers see as the awful ending of the human race, when in fact, the Revelation is an opus of mercy to those who follow the Lord.

Driving to Close The Disability Divide, area golfers take part in the 10th Annual MI-UCP Charity Golf Outing

News Image

For the 10th consecutive year, golfers will participate in the MI-UCP “Driving to Close the Disability Divide Charity Golf Outing” on June 18th at The Majestic at Walden Lake in Hartland, MI. MI-UCP is pleased to announce that all slots have been filled. To date, the event has raised over $150,000, with all proceeds going directly to MI-UCP.

The popular event began with a group of close friends who have played hockey together for years. When a member of that hockey family had a child diagnosed with cerebral palsy, they decided to take action, and an idea was born.

In order to raise awareness and to educate people about cerebral palsy, two of those long-time hockey friends, Jason Trzcinski and Matt Brown, approached MI-UCP about co-hosting a charity golf outing. Since then, there have been nine successful events including September, 2020 when 188 golfers (masked and socially distanced) played 27 holes at The Majestic at Walden Lake, raising nearly $24,000.

The event is dedicated to the MI-UCP vision: To enable all Michiganders with disabilities to live to the best of their abilities and ambitions.

As a group, these 1.4 million Michiganders who live with a disability have been marginalized and ignored for too long. Often being denied access to education, housing or employment, leaving many struggling with financial stability and independence. All of this has created a disability divide. It’s time for a change.

From assistive technology to portable and permanent wheelchair ramps, providing financial and employment services, parent training, advocacy and being a trusted resource, everything MI-UCP does, every day, is done to close that divide.

Examples of services include: a Representative Payee program to assist with financial matters; Benefits Counseling that help individuals navigate complicated systems like Social Security and Medicaid; Assistive Technology can be provided via grants to address needs in the areas of mobility, communication, learning, transportation, independent living and more. MI-UCP also provides Quick Ramps for Kids who are in need of an inexpensive, portable option for wheelchair accessibility.

More about MI-UCP

MI-UCP was founded in 1949 as United Cerebral Palsy Association of Metropolitan Detroit (UCP/Detroit). This included Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. That same year, United Cerebral Palsy Association of Michigan (UCP/Michigan) was formed to serve the needs of constituents throughout the remainder of the State of Michigan.

In 2020, these two organizations merged into MI-UCP (Michigan United Cerebral Palsy). The goal is to expand our scope of service reach. In reality, more than 65 percent of the people we serve have a disability other than cerebral palsy. These include autism, spinal cord injuries, intellectual disabilities, visual impairments and many other disabling conditions.

By unifying as MI-UCP, we are able to operate more efficiently and effectively as one of the state’s leading sources of information, referral and strategic partnerships with like-minded organizations. And by having offices in Detroit and Lansing, we can continue to be a leading advocate for all 1.4 million Michiganders with disabilities.

Self-improvement book encourages people to thrive and align with one another and the source that created them

News Image

We live in a society where the majority of our global population is not aware of the power we hold within us.

Jason T. Beck wanted to educate others on how God, the Universe, Life, Source of Creation, Divine Mind, Mother Nature, Unified Field, Creator, Infinite Intelligence, Source Energy and Consciousness are all the same, only different by their label. It is for this reason he has written “If the World Only Knew: It’s Time to Wake Up and Heal” (published by Balboa Press).

This book teaches readers the true meaning and fundamentals behind the phrases such as “You get what you give, it’s karma, out of the blue, what goes around comes around” and so on as he shares the universal intelligence that co-creates, guides, and governs humanity’s reality and existence. Focusing on truth, Beck discusses the truth about who humanity really are as a people in relation to each other and the world in which they live. Here, he shows how when people align with this one Life Force, God, or Unified Field of Intention, everything changes. They can heal individually and collectively by understanding who they really are in the simplest forms. They can thrive in harmony and live a life of purpose and meaning by relinquishing the conflicting egos they have been conditioned for many years.

“We live in a society where the majority of our global population is not aware of the power we hold within us. We are all one, with no separation from anything or anyone, in one energy field called God, the Universe, or one of the other labels,” Beck points out. “This book will inspire love, harmony, joy, fulfillment, benevolence, and purpose in personal lives, society and cultures.”

When asked what he wants readers to take away from this book, Beck answers, “To remind them that we are all here to thrive, not survive, and all we need to do is align with one another and the source that created us. Joy, abundance, love, and harmony are at the center of who we really are. When this concept of oneness is understood and applied intentionally, we are exposed to a whole new world of possibility, individually and collectively.” For more details about this book, please visit https://www.balboapress.com/en/bookstore/bookdetails/813935-if-the-world-only-knew

Episcopal Relief & Development Supports Episcopal Diocese of West Texas’ Humanitarian Response in Border Communities

News Image

“It is inspirational to see the ways that partners like the Diocese of West Texas are addressing this complex humanitarian crisis by building coalitions of support from volunteer translators to governmental and non-governmental agencies,” said Tamara Plummer, Episcopal Relief & Development.

Episcopal Relief & Development is supporting the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas as it provides COVID-safe humanitarian assistance, such as transportation, food and medical care, to people seeking asylum in south Texas.

“It is inspirational to see the ways that partners like the Diocese of West Texas are addressing this complex humanitarian crisis by building coalitions of support from volunteer translators to governmental and non-governmental agencies,” said Tamara Plummer, Program Officer, US Disaster Program at Episcopal Relief & Development. “By utilizing strong safety protocols, the migration ministry is able to continue and our baptismal covenant is put into practice.”

The Immigration Ministries of the Diocese of West Texas (IM DWTX) works with individuals and families seeking asylum at the US border. As part of the Interfaith Welcome Coalition in San Antonio, diocesan volunteers and staff greet travelers and provide transportation to assist them on the journey to their sponsor. Using the Episcopal Asset Map, a tool created by The Episcopal Church and Episcopal Relief & Development, Flor Saldivar, Coordinator for Immigration and Refugee Ministries for IM DWTX, is coordinating transportation routes by identifying which congregations would be able to provide assistance.

In addition to transportation, the diocese is providing translation services, medical care, food, hygiene items and baby and maternity supplies to individuals and families in need. IM DWTX and other local organizations are collaborating with local and federal governments to make the COVID-19 vaccine readily available to migrants who choose to take it. Volunteers and staff follow strict COVID-19 prevention guidelines such as wearing masks and limiting the number of unrelated people who can ride together.

“The more information congregations share on the Episcopal Asset Map about their gifts, the easier it is for disaster response coordinators to mobilize resources to respond to human need and the work being done at the border is a perfect example,” continued Plummer.

Please consider a donation to Episcopal Relief & Development’s US Disaster Response Fund to support the organization’s continued assistance to vulnerable communities impacted by disasters, both natural and human-made.

ABOUT EPISCOPAL RELIEF & DEVELOPMENT:

For 80 years, Episcopal Relief & Development has been working together with supporters and partners for lasting change around the world. Each year the organization facilitates healthier, more fulfilling lives for more than 3 million people struggling with hunger, poverty, disaster and disease. Inspired by Jesus’ words in Matthew 25, Episcopal Relief & Development leverages the expertise and resources of Anglican and other partners to deliver measurable and sustainable change in three signature program areas: Women, Children and Climate.

How Grace and Mercy Blessed My Life” is an inspirational narrative based on the author’s life

News Image

“GOD Is My Biggest Fan: How Grace and Mercy Blessed My Life”: a heartfelt tale of life lived. “GOD Is My Biggest Fan: How Grace and Mercy Blessed My Life” is the creation of published author, Sharon Wright, a loving mother and devoted educator.

Wright shares, “It is never easy for people to talk about their true feelings. Expressing emotions was not one of those things that was encouraged as a child. I believe that all too often, children grow up to be adults who have not dealt with traumas from their childhood. I am one of those people. GOD Is My Biggest Fan: How Grace and Mercy Blessed My Life came about at a time in my life when I was more than ready to just let go. Writing this book was cathartic. It is helping me face the demons of my past that have interfered in every aspect of my life. If you are ready to release your emotional baggage, then this is the book for you! Let this be your guide to freedom and a path to helping others!”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Sharon Wright’s new book is a moving tale of overcoming difficulties and finding peace and strength through faith.

Inviting readers to experience a very personal, dark time in life, Wright hopes that the tale that unfolds will touch those in need and offer a helping hand back to the light.

Multi-Platinum, Grammy Award-winning Band “Imagine Dragons” to Perform at KultureBall 2021

“Creating events that are sensory inclusive is a pillar on which we continually build and grow our sports and entertainment companies,” said Tony Khan, chief football strategy officer for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

KultureCity announced that multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning Band Imagine Dragons will perform at the highly anticipated KultureBall 2021 on Saturday, August 21.

KultureBall is a night of celebration to promote accessibility, acceptance and inclusion for those with sensory disabilities. The annual gala is an opportunity to support inclusion, learn more about KultureCity’s initiatives, and give back.

At this year’s gala, KultureCity will also honor an outstanding citizen for his or her work in the community, an organization for their commitment to inclusion, and a certified venue that has gone above and beyond to ensure inclusion for all. The event is scheduled to take in Birmingham, Alabama.

KultureCity is a forward-thinking company that creates inclusive and positive environments for individuals challenged with sensory disabilities. This year, KultureCity is thrilled to announce that the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation will serve as the title sponsor. The Jaguars Foundation, alongside the Jaguars, Fulham FC and AEW, are committed to ensuring that live events support sensory inclusion and acceptance for those with invisible disabilities.

“Creating events that are sensory inclusive is a pillar on which we continually build and grow our sports and entertainment companies,” said Tony Khan, chief football strategy officer for the Jacksonville Jaguars. “We’re proud that our partnership with KultureCity will help to ensure that all fans feel even more welcome and safe at our events. On behalf of the Jaguars, Fulham and AEW, it’s an honor to support the KultureBall and the example it sets for live events across the nation.”

“AEW and KultureCity organized the first sensory inclusive professional wrestling event in the history of the sport nearly two years ago at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas,” said Brandi Rhodes, Chief Brand Officer of AEW. “It was truly heartwarming to see and it marked the beginning of my relationship with the incredible folks at KultureCity. We’ve since partnered on numerous initiatives with AEW, and I look forward to continuing to champion their important and inspirational mission.”

Two members of the band, bassist Ben McKee and drummer Daniel Platzman, currently serve on the board of KultureCity. “My mother is a special education teacher, and growing up, I saw the gap in inclusion for those with sensory needs,” said Daniel Platzman. “Through Imagine Dragons, I’m able to advocate for inclusion and ensure venues around the world are moving in the right direction. We’re excited to perform at KultureBall and to support such a great cause!”

This will mark KultureCity’s seventh annual gala. To date, previous galas have raised more than $1.5 million for the mission. “It has been truly amazing to see KultureBall become what it is today,” Dr. Julian Maha, co-founder of KultureCity. “When we first started six years ago, we had 100 individuals attend and we raised funds to support families locally. Today, we are making an impact internationally, and thanks to Imagine Dragons, we will be able to impact several thousand lives.”

Sensory sensitivities or challenges with sensory regulation are often experienced by individuals with autism, dementia, PTSD and other similar conditions. One of the major barriers for these individuals is sensitivity to over stimulation and noise, which is an enormous part of the environment. Venues can obtain this certification to be better prepared to assist guests with sensory sensitivities in having the most comfortable and accommodating experience possible when attending any event.

Not only does the gala promote inclusion, it’s also the first sensory inclusive gala in the nation. Sensory bags will be available for attendees to check out during the event and KultureCity’s SAVE (sensory activation vehicle) will be available onsite to serve as a mobile sensory room.

With the health and safety of attendees in mind, tables will be physically distanced and grouped by travel parties. Health screenings will also occur upon entrance. Final protocols for the gala will reflect local and state requirements in place on the date of the event and be communicated to guests in advance of the gala.

For those interested in attending or sponsoring, please visit http://www.kultureball.com.
