Tragic Effects of Leading with Wounds and a Surprising Solution” is an encouraging message of God’s healing promise

News Image

“Gallant Fool: Tragic Effects of Leading with Wounds and a Surprising Solution”: a powerful message of God’s grace. “Gallant Fool: Tragic Effects of Leading with Wounds and a Surprising Solution” is the creation of published author Larry Cooney, a dedicated husband and father who, after planting (starting) a church with the Assemblies of God, served as a director in three Gospel mission agencies—Bread of Life Mission in Seattle, cofounder of Kitsap Rescue Mission in Bremerton, Washington, and Central Coast Rescue Mission in Santa Maria, California. He has started Leading in Joy with its curriculum, Skiltegrity, to leverage his three decades of experience in Christian ministry to help young leaders thrive in vocational ministry.

Cooney shares, ““My solution was to keep marching forward, a gallant fool. I was most angry at this fool’s seemingly unstoppable march.”

“Gallant Fool examines the painful subject of carrying emotional wounds into Christian leadership. It follows the author’s life in ministry and toxic relationship with shame and anxiety through starting a church, peaching and leading a congregation, managing staff members at Gospel missions, and working with authority figures like board members, a CEO, and other pastors.

“Ministry requires faith; shame and anxiety corrode it. Living in a paradox this way is a burden. The author’s burdens followed him into his faith in Christ and stayed with him through his career and marriage. He now realizes that for years, he believed and preached a Christian message that often worked against bringing peace and resolution.

“The book contains sixteen short essays and ten chapters to describe carrying this burden and an eventual resolution, which the author describes as Christ’s deliverance through a process of awareness, acknowledgment, and acceptance.

“Cooney makes the point that Jesus offers relief to anyone carrying burdens, and he delivers his children regardless of the nature, duration, and magnitude of the burden; that’s because God delivers us by grace through faith, a message that is familiar and at the same time elusive for its simplicity and refusal to credit anyone for a successful deliverance, except God. Gallant Fool offers hope by putting the spotlight on where it belongs: God and his grace.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Larry Cooney’s new book will bring readers a thought-provoking and comforting message.

Cooney draws from personal experience to bring readers a helpful opportunity to grow, recover, and heal.

Believe and See” is an empowering message of God’s plan for all

News Image

“Envision with God: Believe and See”: a potent and thought-provoking self-help work. “Envision with God: Believe and See” is the creation of published author Francis S. Oda.

Oda shares, “As a pastor and business leader, I have seen that most people are walking backwards into their futures! All their reference points about the future are usually drawn from the past. Envision with God turns you around to face what is ahead with God’s guidance. After all, aren’t all God’s promises in the future?

“The practice of ‘envisioning with God’ will not only turn you to your future in God but give you something many Christians lack: an absolute certainty in recognizing the voice of God. A common practice, even among mature Christians, is seeking confirmation for something their Father God has told them. It is strange, to say the least, that a child would not recognize his or her father’s voice. This will no longer be a problem as one faithfully envisions with Father God.

“Envisioning with God erases the division between the marketplace and pulpit. You will discover that God doesn’t recognize this division. His desire is for unity. Too many Christians are schizophrenic in terms of their spiritual identities. This has weakened families, churches, businesses, communities, and nations. No such division should exist as the many powerful examples in the book testify.

“Envisioning with God in a simple and systematic way will change your life, causing you to face your future and recognize the voice of God. Envisioning will engage you in a day-to-day dialog with your Father, and unify the roles of your spiritual identity, propelling you to your destiny, facing forward into God’s promises.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Francis S. Oda’s new book will challenge and empower believers whether they are established or just beginning to discover their connection with God.

Oda shares in hopes of aiding others on their spiritual journey to nurturing and accepting a deep connection with their faith.

Consumers can purchase “Envision with God: Believe and See” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.

Patience Ekunno’s newly released “The Biggest Game Changer” is an empowering message of God’s gift to humanity and the Gospel of Jesus Christ

News Image

“The Biggest Game Changer: Christ’s Resurrection-Our Righteousness-No More Condemnation”: an encouraging opportunity to further understand God’s gift to the world. “The Biggest Game Changer: Christ’s Resurrection-Our Righteousness-No More Condemnation” is the creation of published author Patience Ekunno.

Ekunno shares, “It is imperative for the world to know that God has made everyone righteous in Christ, and also God has given eternal life to everyone in this world through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. However, this righteous life becomes reality only by faith in Jesus Christ. The world needs to know that the price for man’s sins has been paid in full, and a righteous life in Christ is made available for anyone who will believe. Jesus Christ is a gift of righteousness and eternal life to man by God as an act of His love for the world.

“God demonstrated His love, His righteousness, and His Justice when He made Jesus Christ, who knew no sin to be the sin of the world. God did not send Jesus Christ to the world to condemn the world but to reconcile the world to Himself through Him. God laid the sin of the world upon Him. Jesus was crucified and went to hell on behalf of man, and on the third day, after his death, God raised Him from the dead in His righteousness and eternal life by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ became born again. He became a new creature—the first to be born among the dead. Christ’s resurrection, therefore, became the biggest game changer God played against Satan that made man righteous. It disarmed the kingdom of darkness. Christ’s resurrection not only restored dominion to man but also created a new man in man—a righteous man in an eternal union with God. There is no more condemnation but exaltation in Christ in heavenly places.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Patience Ekunno’s new book is an exciting opportunity for spiritual growth as readers are encouraged in their connection with Christ.

Ekunno shares in hopes of spreading awareness of the need to live in faith and trust in God’s word.

Consumers can purchase “The Biggest Game Changer: Christ’s Resurrection-Our Righteousness-No More Condemnation” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.

Larry Wilson’s newly released “Holy Ghost Powered! The Prayer of Faith and Deliverance by Praying and Confessing the Word of God” use scripture to create powerful prayer

News Image

“Holy Ghost Powered! The Prayer of Faith and Deliverance by Praying and Confessing the Word of God”: a potent arrangement of thought-provoking and spiritually inspired by the Word of God. “Holy Ghost Powered! The Prayer of Faith and Deliverance by Praying and Confessing the Word of God” is the testimony of published author Larry Wilson: The Servant of The Most High, who through personal tests and trials has learned to pray God’s word and overcame the darkness of this world in his personal life. Larry Wilson is a native of Louisiana with a passion for spreading the Word of God.

Wilson shares, “The prayers in this book are designed to demolish all the wiles of the devil in our personal lives and in the lives of the members of our household. We need powerful prayers to abolish the works of the evil one in our lives. God’s Word released through our mouth will cause his power to be manifested in our lives. He watches over his word to perform it. The Word of God is like the fire that burns, it is the hammer that breaks the rocks in pieces Jeremiah 23:29.

“For the weapons which we use are not earthly weapons but of the might of God by which we conquer rebellious strong holds, casting down imaginations, and every false thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and capturing every thought to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.

“It is important that we, the believers, be strong in the LORD and in the power of his might. We walk and war in His strength, and this requires humility, and total dependence on God. We must depend on His Word and His Spirit to overcome the darkness of this world.

“Ephesians 6:12-13 For your conflict is not only with flesh and blood, but also with the angels, and with powers, and with the rulers of this world of darkness, the evil spirits under the heavens. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to meet the evil one, and being prepared you shall prevail.

“This was key to David’s victories. David was a king who knew how to depend upon God. David won his battles and overcame all his enemies through the power and might of God. This was done by prayer, David knew how to reach God through prayer.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Larry Wilson, The Servant of The Most High’s new book will excite the spirit and inspire the soul as readers take time to truly immerse themselves in God’s Word.

Wilson’s passion for prayer and spreading God’s Word is apparent within the pages of this informative and encouraging work.

A Caribbean Perspective” offers an engaging look at the rites surrounding baptism

News Image

“Baptism, Superstitions, and the Supernatural: A Caribbean Perspective”: a thoughtful example of comparative religion research. “Baptism, Superstitions, and the Supernatural: A Caribbean Perspective” is the creation of published author Lesley George Anderson, a retired Methodist minister of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) and a former president of the United Theological College of the West Indies (UTCWI), Kingston, Jamaica, where he previously served as Methodist warden and lecturer in philosophy and systematic theology. Anderson has twice been chair of the presidium of the Caribbean Conference of Churches (CCC), served the British Methodist Church Overseas Division as area secretary for the Americas, Caribbean, and Europe for eight years, served two terms as a member of the World Council of Churches (WCC) consultative group with Pentecostals, and was twice president (bishop) of the Panama/Costa Rica District Conference as well as president of the Belize/Honduras District Conference. He holds a Dip. Min. from the United Theological Seminary (UTS), now UTCWI, a BA from the University of London, a Cambridge Certificate in Religious Knowledge (CCRK) from the University of Cambridge, a MTh from the University of Oxford, a MA and ThM from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a MEd and EdD from Teachers College, Columbia University. He was honored as a distinguished alumnus of the latter institution in 2010.

Anderson shares, “the sacrament of baptism is undoubtedly to this day an exceedingly controversial sacrament of the Christian Church. The continuing differing debates, arguments, and views about adult (believers’) versus infant baptism are examined. Superstitions and the supernatural associated with this sacrament are given adequate attention in addition to the many other informative factors relating to this sacrament. Further, this sacrament is examined as a scriptural, psychological, theological, and social reality.

“The introduction of baptism as a liturgical phenomenon highlights the educational quality of this book as it takes the reader into the interesting and fascinating areas of baptism of blood, baptism by fire, baptism of the dead, baptism of the Holy Spirit, and baptism in the name of Jesus only. In addition, this book brings to the fore an intrinsic excitement and understanding about the symbols and symbolisms, images and mysteries, signs and wonders associated with this sacrament. The role of the Holy Spirit and the centrality of Jesus in the baptismal act are of importance recognized.

“If symbolically baptism means dying to sin and rising to new life with Christ, does this apply only to adult believers? This book explores the question against the background of research conducted in the Central American country of Belize that unearthed the views and beliefs of laypersons. The reach of the work extends beyond Belize, and Methodist traditions are compared with contrasting beliefs and practices of other denominations. Popular superstitions associated with baptism are also explored as well as the impact of African cultural practices on Christian theology in the lived experience of Caribbean peoples.

“Although this research was conducted in Belize, it is borderless and boundless. Of vital interest is the exploration of this sacrament in African religious beliefs and cultural practices. According to Professor Neville Duncan, former director of the Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica, the book is ‘theologically and sociologically stimulating…while written from the Methodist perspective…the issues raised will resonate with all Christian denominations.’ All denominations noted in this book are given their due respect regardless of their beliefs and/or baptismal practices.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Lesley George Anderson’s new book offers a fine balance of religious and cultural influences regarding the baptism ritual.

Anderson offers readers a carefully researched and articulate discussion that will present a unique and respectful perspective on a variety of cultures around the world.

Consumers can purchase “Baptism, Superstitions, and the Supernatural: A Caribbean Perspective” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.
