HearingLife Celebrates the Holiday Season With “Hear the Magic. Love Your Ears.” Campaign

“Our Give Back campaign at HearingLife, will offer people the opportunity to gain back a renewed sense of self and the ability to participate fully in the joys of the season.”

HearingLife, a leader in delivering life-changing hearing care, today announced the kickoff of its “Hear the Magic. Love Your Ears.” holiday campaign* accompanied by the second annual “Magic of Giving Back” give back program aimed to help those with hearing loss gain back the joyful sounds of the holiday season. From a Harris Poll survey, 72% of people with hearing loss wish their hearing was better to enjoy holiday and special gatherings.+

Our hearing is a pivotal part of feeling connected to the people and things we love most in our lives, and HearingLife understands the struggle those with hearing loss experience during celebratory moments and holiday gatherings. Through the “Magic of Giving Back” program, HearingLife will give free hearing aids to six people in need with hearing loss. Starting today, October 4, 2022 through November 12, 2022, anyone in the US can submit their story through http://www.HearingLife.com/Magic.

“I’m so proud of this effort and how the HearingLife team impacted the lives of these customers during a particularly important, though often hard, season for those with hearing loss,” says Dean Pappous, HearingLife President. “After receiving so many heartwarming stories through last year’s campaign, we knew we had to continue this important tradition. Our continued support of this campaign will help these individuals – and their families – see all that there is to gain for years to come.”

In addition to the Holiday Give Back campaign, since 2018, HearingLife has supported “Campaign For Better Hearing” – a year-round give back program where hearing care providers recommend free hearing aids for patients who cannot afford them. Through “Campaign for Better Hearing,” HearingLife provides over 80 free pairs of hearing aids each year.

“Individuals with hearing loss may experience feelings of embarrassment or frustration when they can’t hear or participate in conversations,” said Dr. Leslie Soiles, Chief Audiologist, HearingLife. “Often, this can cause them to stop socializing or participating in events or activities that they used to enjoy. Our Give Back campaign at HearingLife, will offer people the opportunity to gain back a renewed sense of self and the ability to participate fully in the joys of the season.”

For the opportunity to receive free hearing aids through the “Magic of Giving Back,” anyone in the US can submit their personal story, or a story on behalf of a loved one, explaining why they are a potential candidate for the HearingLife Magic of Giving Back program. Cheryl Yvette Brock ThD.’s newly released “Adam’s Family” is a compelling discussion of human nature and the temptations of sin

News Image

“Adam’s Family: A Study of Depravity (Murder, Incest, Deceit, Adultery, Idolatry, Drugs-Alcohol)”: a carefully researched presentation on mankind’s inherent nature. “Adam’s Family: A Study of Depravity (Murder, Incest, Deceit, Adultery, Idolatry, Drugs-Alcohol)” is the creation of published author Cheryl Yvette Brock ThD., a mother of four, grandmother of twenty, and great-grandmother of two who has been pastoring at Holistic Ministries Inc. since 2005. She attended public school in Homestead, Florida, and acquired an AA from Miami Dade College, two BA degrees from Barry and Florida International universities, a Master of Art in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University, a Doctor of Divinity, and Doctor of Theology from Newburgh Theological Seminary.

Brock shares, “Adam’s Family: A Study of Depravity (Murder, Incest, Deceit, Adultery, Idolatry, Drugs/Alcohol brings to life the rawness of human nature. It depicts how out of line with God mankind has been ever since the first man and woman. The book gives a scholarly and biblically based account of man’s fallen nature, offering references from the church fathers, reformists, great Christian commentariats, and some well-known Christians and secular psychologists and psychiatrists. After offering professional and expert references to support the need for reconciliation, the author offers colorful biblical stories from the book of Genesis, which include those of Cain and Abel, Lamech, Canaan, the tower of Babel, and individual stories of the patriarchs, their wives, sons, and daughters. It climaxes with Jesus as the answer to salvation solely by faith through God’s grace. It is a scholarly and entertaining work of literature, useful for personal reading and enlightenment or as a textbook or for Bible study. It is one of a kind!”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Cheryl Yvette Brock ThD.’s new book was originally developed as the author’s dissertation to fulfill the requirements for her Doctor of Theology studies.

Brock brings her carefully researched and engaging study of sin and God’s word to eager students of the Bible to encourage readers in their pursuit of understanding and appreciating scripture.

Consumers can purchase “Adam’s Family: A Study of Depravity (Murder, Incest, Deceit, Adultery, Idolatry, Drugs-Alcohol)” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.

Well Hidden in the 21st Century” is a fascinating look at the historical context of modern theology

News Image

“The Reformation: Well Hidden in the 21st Century”: an articulate and encouraging approach to returning to God’s Word. “The Reformation: Well Hidden in the 21st Century” is the creation of published author Dr. Ken Matto, a New Jersey native who holds a doctorate degree in ministry from Bethany Theological Seminary in Dothan, Alabama.

Dr. Matto shares, “Jesus stated in John 8:32, ‘And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.’ The truth of Scripture is to set the Christian free; yet as soon as one becomes saved, they place themselves back into slavery under a theological system.

“This book is written with the desire to see the Christian emancipated from theological slavery and become a Biblicist, thus setting them free from the boundaries found in every theological system. The local church becomes a local prison in that unless one adheres to the warden’s (the pastor’s) teachings, then one will be shown the door. Brethren, these things should not be. The King James Bible opens the cell doors and frees the Christian from their theological imprisonment.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Dr. Ken Matto’s new book will challenge and engage the spirit as readers consider the carefully studied and detailed points within.

Dr. Matto shares in hopes of aiding others to break free of what he terms “theological slavery” so they can achieve a renewed connection with the Word of God.

Consumers can purchase “The Reformation: Well Hidden in the 21st Century” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.

Eye-Opening Answers to Questions About Life, Faith and the Bible

News Image

For many years I have longed to write what I believe God has placed on my heart. Through the growth of my spirit, my new pastor and the endless questions my children ask me, I knew it was time to pen what God had given me to say.

Author Tiffany Potter shares her views on the Pentecost with readers in A Personal Depiction: God’s Call to Build a Stronger Generation ($14.49, paperback, 9781662858277; $6.99, e-book, 9781662858284).

In her book, Potter shares the insightful, personal thoughts from her mind with readers. This includes the truths that she believes God has given her to share. By sharing her life and how she learned to view the world and religion, she hopes to help others understand Pentecost better and the ideas of ‘one’ God, ‘one’ faith and ‘one’ baptism. Her goals are to put the ideas of God into her own words and explain Him the way she sees and understands Him.

“This book was written from the inspiration of my spiritual walk with God,” said Potter. “For many years I have longed to write what I believe God has placed on my heart. Through the growth of my spirit, my new pastor and the endless questions my children ask me, I knew it was time to pen what God had given me to say.”

Tiffany Potter was born in Alabama and raised in Mississippi. She has a degree in chemistry and a second degree in medical laboratory science. Potter has always been a part of the Bible Belt with an upbringing full of Christianity. She learned that there is more to being a Christian than going to church and looking the part. Growing up Pentecostal, she was never forced to follow in her parent’s footsteps. It was through personal endeavors and personal research that she learned to know God the way she does. This book is her gift to Him for all He has given to her. Potter enjoys spending time with her family—four boys take much of her time and extra love. Her passion outside of church is food. She cooks anything from scratch that she can, including baking. Beyond work and family, her time is spent with the Lord.

Filmmakers Look To Make an Emotional Impact With “Running the Bases”

“It’s truly a motivational film,” the directors noted. “But also one with a lot of heart. And it really brings in the focus of just how important Christianity is to many people.”

With the number of Christian believers shrinking in America, writer/directors Jimmy Womble and Marty Roberts have opted to create a film that discusses how one good pitch can change the momentum for everything – Running the Bases.

Starring Brett Varvel, Gigi Orsillo and Todd Terry, the film deals with Christian values with its dramatic storytelling. It deals with a high school baseball coach who conflicts with the school superintendent after introducing his son to Christianity. Upon learning of a congenital heart defect that killed his brother, the boy, Luke, believes his career of being a professional baseball catcher is at an end.

With that, Luke is able to find a new calling in coaching baseball. Twenty years following his high school days, he moves to Texas to coach for a much larger high school, but faces even more conflict when another superintendent begins questioning public expression of Christianity.

Roberts and Womble noted that God was calling them to make this movie, despite not having any previous experience within the industry. But as a result, they believe they have produced a film that provides hope, comedy and a message, especially to those that need one nowadays.

“It’s truly a motivational film,” the directors noted. “But also one with a lot of heart. And it really brings in the focus of just how important Christianity is to many people.”

More information about the movie, including the trailer and more detail about the actors and production, are available over on the official website, runningthebasesmovie.com. (Screener available upon request.)

Idaho Department of Correction Chooses Meridian LMS to Deliver Scalable and Compliant Training

“…having the Idaho Department of Correction trust us as their learning platform of choice is a great match for our capabilities. Our accessibility, scalability, and security abilities were a great fit for helping them achieve their goals of continuous course offerings and future growth.”

Meridian Knowledge Solutions is proud to announce its most recent partnership with the Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC). The IDOC came to Meridian searching for a modern LMS with a scalable platform that would be in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act to enhance their training internally and externally. They found their solution within Meridians’ Learning Management System (LMS), providing them with a solution that will grow with them to meet their evolving user and business needs.

Sean Osborne, Chief Growth Officer, stated “…having the Idaho Department of Correction trust us as their learning platform of choice is a great match for our capabilities. Our accessibility, scalability, and security abilities were a great fit for helping them achieve their goals of continuous course offerings and future growth. We look forward to supporting them in their future L&D endeavors.”

The Idaho Department of Correction employs approximately 2,000 staff across three divisions: Prisons, Probation & Parole, and Management Services. The IDOC manages nine prisons, five community re-entry centers, and seven district probation and parole offices across the state. It was crucial for them to have the ability to not only have IDOC branding within their LMS, but also to incorporate third-party and IDOC-authored content. They also searched for a system that captured and retained internal and external training records, including testing results, attendance, and certificates.

The IDOC put a large emphasis on providing a user-friendly interface that allows their learners to easily navigate through the platform, along with mobile capabilities. Having a system that provides an individualized learner dashboard allows the IDOC to assign mandatory and elective courses, create or customize individual learner paths, and provide tools for skills tracking and job competencies, career mapping, and certifications tracking. Meridian worked closely with the IDOC team to help tailor a solution that made sense for their organization and would help them effortlessly scale for potential business expansion. Meridian is looking forward to supporting IDOC in building, maintaining, and analyzing its training programs.

The One Who Prays to the Father on our Behalf” is a reflection on relevant scripture within the author’s life

News Image

“Behold, One High Priest: The One Who Prays to the Father on our Behalf”: an encouraging discussion of mankind’s connection with God. “Behold, One High Priest: The One Who Prays to the Father on our Behalf” is the creation of published author Kay Ham.

Ham shares, “When I was a child at vacation Bible school, I remember the march outside the church. Single file, marching in the house of the Lord, singing ‘Onward Christian Soldier.’ Not knowing the battles of life or what I may face or what life would bring hereafter, or if I would see the frontline of combat, but I have seen many wounded, many taken captive within their own souls of life’s ups and downs, but the words of the Lord held truth, setting many free from the devil’s grave clothes. Holding to faith, even when I didn’t understand, I knew he never left me nor forsaken me. He has been with me through many obstacles in my life. I have found Jesus no longer on the cross, but a soldier at the cross, bearing arms of victory. Victory for all. Just as the morning star that did shine through my door, giving me light in the darkest night, I saw one rose in full bloom. One dove perched upon the roof of an outside building, I knew he was with me in spirit. Not to condemn, but to lose the baggage that life had me bound. His way was the best way, taking hold of my wheels. I know this march is true.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Kay Ham’s new book will challenge and invigorate readers in their faith.

Ham shares in hopes of helping others find the fulfilling connection with God that has provided her so much comfort.
