Beatrice Francis Carey’s newly released “Jesus of Nazareth Our Liberator” is an empowering discussion of the glory of Jesus

News Image

“Jesus of Nazareth Our Liberator”: a potent reminder of all that God has provided through His son. “Jesus of Nazareth Our Liberator” is the creation of published author Beatrice Francis Carey.

Carey shares, “Some think, ‘Okay, another book about Jesus Christ.’

“They say, ‘Right on, brother,’ but I have one up on that. All books should be written about Jesus Christ the Nazarene. There is no other game in town, none, Jesus is the only thing going on. The reason for this being twofold.

“First, Christ’s imminent return is apparent to most.

“Second, God is answering our cries and our pleas in the face of our crumbling and disintegrating world that has no hope in sight.

“In the hands of God, however, we have hope for all things, for Jesus said, ‘With God, nothing is impossible.’ The one thing most are still stumbling over, and yet still not discovering is this God/Man named Jesus Christ.

“The facts have been handed down to us through eyewitnesses. At first, it was just an oral communication, but Jesus Christ inspired the Apostles and Paul, the chosen of God, for us Gentiles and inspired them to write for us undeniable testimonies of Jesus. They wrote of His beginnings and his mission to Earth in the Holy Gospels. And Paul wrote a great number of the Holy Epistles of our Bible given to Him with abundance of revelation by God. All which are good for our knowledge of Jesus Christ and his mission to Earth.

“Jesus wants us to make Him known to all men. Why? Because Jesus said, ‘I am the Way, the Truth, and the Light.’ This is central to every Word written in the Bible. Jesus’s last Words to His disciples on Ascension Sunday were, ‘Go and preach.’ In a nutshell, that means yes, make Jesus known to mankind. Publicize it, broadcast this knowledge; every one of us is to be laboring at this command. God helps those that think it is enough to sit in their easy chair and pay tithes and go to Church on Sabbath. No and no, because the knowledge of Jesus Christ the Nazarene must ‘cover the Earth as the waters cover the Sea.’ ‘Go and make disciples of all Nations,’ and then the end shall come.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Beatrice Francis Carey’s new book will challenge and encourage believers to pursue a stronger connection with their faith.

Carey shares a powerful message within the pages of this spirited work.

Consumers can purchase “Jesus of Nazareth Our Liberator” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.

TS Delaney with Cathleen DeLaney’s newly released “A Recipe for Envy” is an engaging modern spin on a familiar biblical lesson

News Image

“A Recipe for Envy: A modern day twist on the biblical story of Joseph featuring Chef Josef Reno”: a suspenseful journey of faith. “A Recipe for Envy: A modern day twist on the biblical story of Joseph featuring Chef Josef Reno” is the creation of published authors TS Delaney with Cathleen DeLaney, a brother and sister duo from Texas.

TS Delaney with Cathleen DeLaney shares, “The story of Joseph remains one of the Bible’s most endearing stories. Joseph’s journey from his brother’s betrayal to his family’s savior shows us what one man can do when his circumstances do not define him but provide an opportunity for him to reach his ultimate purpose. This classic tale’s themes of envy, revenge, despair, forgiveness, and reconciliation compel the reader to reevaluate how they handle their own circumstance and offers the solution of working selflessly to improve the lives of others as the first step.

“A modern retelling of this story requires the reader to allow for adequate dramatic license for the plot to unfold. The timeline is compressed for the modern reader, and several character roles are adjusted. The brother’s plot against Joseph is intact but given a modern twist to allow for story development.

“In the original story, the nature of the prison is not disclosed. Joseph’s interaction with the king’s prisoners indicate it was as special type of prison. This modern version takes place in an FCP or ‘Country Club Prison’ located next to a Federal Correctional Institute. This type of prison normally holds white-collar criminals.

“With that in mind, as Pastor John Hagee is known to say, ‘Enter into the theatre of your mind,’ and enjoy a modern twist on the story of Joseph.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, TS Delaney with Cathleen DeLaney’s new book will engage the imagination as readers see the parallels depicted within.

Consumers can purchase “A Recipe for Envy: A modern day twist on the biblical story of Joseph featuring Chef Josef Reno” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.

Joe B. Lamphere’s newly released “Hope in a Broken World” is a compelling exploration of biblical themes regarding faith during the trying times of life

News Image

“Hope in a Broken World: Five Principles of F.A.I.T.H.: Not Only When You Endure Various Trials but How to Persevere and Rejoice in the Midst of Them”: a potent reminder of the importance of leaning into one’s faith to overcome any worldly challenge. “Hope in a Broken World: Five Principles of F.A.I.T.H.: Not Only When You Endure Various Trials but How to Persevere and Rejoice in the Midst of Them” is the creation of published author Joe B. Lamphere, a devoted husband and loving father of three who has had a successful career in the international logistics industry. Since 2003, Lamphere has pursued an alternative path and has since received a bachelor’s degree in 2007 and his master’s degree in 2009 from the University of Phoenix.

Lamphere shares, “Life in a broken world is complicated, and does not lend itself to simple explanations. Where do we turn to help us find hope in this life? In this book, Hope in a Broken World, Joe B. Lamphere shows us inspirational stories in the Bible about godly men and women who have been preserved for us as examples of faith as a response to suffering, difficulty, and injustice. God’s Word teaches us how the ‘faith challenges’ of those who lived so long ago can shape our character and help us get to know the Lord better in our lives today.

“Each chapter features a faith principle, a memory verse, a question to think about, and insightful ways to exercise faith not only when you endure trials of many kinds but how to persevere and rejoice in the midst of them.

“Things are changing at a rapid pace. The good news is that God is in control – even when things look like they’re out of control. God is still in control. It’s encouraging to know that God takes broken hearts and spirits and kindly restores, heals, and transforms them. In these troubling times, there is hope. The hope we have is Jesus. Our hope in this life is anchored on the very promises of God, the character of God, the faithfulness of God, and the sovereignty of God.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Joe B. Lamphere’s new book will inspire and captivate the imagination as readers witness parallels between today’s challenges and those experienced during biblical times.

Lamphere shares in hopes of helping others find a path through the valleys of life through resilient faith.

Consumers can purchase “Hope in a Broken World: Five Principles of F.A.I.T.H.: Not Only When You Endure Various Trials but How to Persevere and Rejoice in the Midst of Them” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.

Lynda Stallwood, PhD, RN’s newly released “A Cadence Chronicle” is an engaging and inspiring devotional journal that will bring God to the forefront of each day

News Image

“A Cadence Chronicle: Read, Resonate, and Respond to the Holy Spirit A Reflective Journal for Today and Beyond”: a trifold pursuit to a powerful conversation with God. “A Cadence Chronicle: Read, Resonate, and Respond to the Holy Spirit A Reflective Journal for Today and Beyond” is the creation of published author Lynda Stallwood, PhD, RN, a loving wife, mother and grandmother who has gained confidence in communicating with God through reading, resonating and responding in prayer and journaling and desires others to enjoy the same.

Stallwood shares, “The architecture for this book format stems from the cadence call used by armed services where the leader calls out a cadence (phrase) in a specific tempo that is echoed by the soldiers. The cadence call instills unity among the troop’s movement and work. We too can hear and respond to God’s cadence call to us. Doing so requires positioning ourselves through prayer and nearness to Him so we are able to hear Him. That process is facilitated by the compilation of devotions, prayers, and praise reports in this book. They have a corporate goal of generating a three-pronged approach to drawing closer to God: reading, resonating, and responding to Him. The first prong, reading, is addressed by reviewing the devotions, prayers, and praise reports. They provide a glimpse into the common human experience with scriptural support. Resonating, the second prong, is perhaps the most exciting. This is where quiet contemplation and active listening birthed through prayer collide. Here is where we seek to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit similar to military troops responding to the cadence call from their leader. Finally, the response prong allows for your active participation in chronicling impressions that come to mind during the resonating period. Writing space is provided for the completion of this step.

“The outcome of the previously listed steps is prayer. All God-focused prayers are worthy. They help us to see, hear, and respond to Him. They also help us in the circumstances we find ourselves in. If you are newly developing your prayer life, prayer strategies are provided in this book, offering some guidance as you discover your personal prayer pattern.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Lynda Stallwood, PhD, RN’s new book will encourage readers on their spiritual journey through careful reflection and discussion of relevant scripture.

Consumers can purchase “A Cadence Chronicle: Read, Resonate, and Respond to the Holy Spirit A Reflective Journal for Today and Beyond” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.

Bishop Harvey Spencer examines how God gave his people specific instructions on how to fight the spread of an infectious disease in his new book “A Biblical Response to COVID-19” (published by Archway Publishing).

By studying the Bible, the author discovered it has information to share when it comes to fighting an infectious disease. He discusses how ancient Israel fought the spread of leprosy, that the Bible says about quarantining individuals who are sick or may be sick, and why some elected officials display a lack of leadership amid the pandemic. The author also examines what the Bible says about using face coverings, what the world has done to fight other outbreaks of disease, and similarities between COVID-19 and other deadly viruses.

News Image

“A Boy Named Jesus”: a charming narrative for young readers that are beginning to understand their faith. “A Boy Named Jesus” is the creation of published author P. Dalton Simms.

Simms shares, “I must express my eternal gratitude to the Holy Spirit whose inspiration brought light to the writing of this book.

“Truly all good wisdom, knowledge, and understanding are the sources.

“I received the inspiration to write this book in 2008, and when it was completed, I had put it aside because I realize that it needed editing.

“I was also concerned about acquiring suitable illustrations.

“I was very privileged to attend a promotion event for Eulene Greenland’s book, Thoughts and Tales, which motivated me to finish my own book.

“To Dr. Lena Woodhouse, as I typed away on my computer, she was there when the title A Boy Named Jesus came to me.

“Also to Dr. Noel Paris, he read the text and approved it.

“My granddaughter, Brenna R. Coy, also read my book to her daughter.

“Brielle George, they both loved it.

“Special thanks to Pastor Samuel and Millicent James for the many times she made suggestions on the publication of this book, A Boy Named Jesus.

“She also contributed the initial payment.

“I must also acknowledge the many times I have called upon her and Eulene to assist in reviewing the work in this book.

“They were at my service in lending a hand in the final review and editing.

“Thanks to my dear friend Aurille Moore, who always gives me inspiration.

“Also to Chanda Lennon and Patricia Brown, who also assisted.

“The boy Jesus became the man Christ Jesus, who has made many great impressions in the lives of countless persons with whom he came into contact.

“Even as a child Jesus is known to have impacted so many lives in so many different ways.

“And even presently, surely, he can and is still making great differences in the lives of all who may allow him. So without questioning, I would like to appeal to any reader to kindly allow Christ Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, to lead you, and then choose to follow.

“Let us encourage each other by the reading, hearing, teaching, and doing of God’s holy Word.

“I truly hope that this book will be an inspiration to its readers and hearers.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, P. Dalton Simms’s new book will delight and inspire young readers to learn more about the boy who would become known as the Savior.

Mesa Arizona Easter Pageant Officials Announce the Return of the Mesa Easter Pageant in April 2022

Jesus the Christ

For more than eight decades, a gathering has occurred on the beautiful and peaceful grounds of the Mesa Arizona Temple in downtown Mesa during the Easter season. Many gather as an audience while the cast and crew—giving countless volunteer hours—share the Biblical account of the life, death and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ on an outdoor stage. Together, all see and feel Christ’s powerful message of forgiveness, hope and peace.

In May of 2018, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the Mesa Temple would close for the renovation of the structure and surrounding grounds. During this time, presentation of the pageant was suspended. In the interim, plans were implemented to move the pageant stage to the northeast side of the temple grounds. The stage was also redesigned to accommodate new landscaping and better facilitate stage construction and cast movement.

Pageant leaders are thrilled to now announce that the FREE in-person Mesa Easter Pageant is slated to resume in April 2022 with new sets, script and music.

The pageant script and score have been rewritten under the direction of writer and composer Rob Gardner. The music for the soundtrack was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra in January, followed by the singing voices and narration locally. The massive stage’s construction began Jan. 10 and cast rehearsals begin in March.

“Our purpose is to bring others closer to the Savior,” said pageant creative director Jenee Prince. “We want others to get to know Him, to feel His love and to feel more hope and peace.”

Gardner, whose recent work includes “Lamb of God: The Concert Film,” said, “It’s been an intense last few months taking on the weighty task of writing a new soundtrack for the Easter Pageant. But the writing is done and it was exciting to record with the London Symphony Orchestra. Making music with them is always a thrilling experience, they bring such artistry and power to everything they perform.”

The Mesa Easter Pageant—now recognized as the largest annual outdoor Easter pageant in the world—draws tens of thousands of people at this free community event during the two weeks before Easter. All are invited to gather and celebrate the story of the life and resurrection of Jesus Christ taken from the King James Version of the New Testament.

“This is a very different production from its humble beginnings as a sunrise service in 1938,” said Jill Adair, communications director for Mesa Temple events. “On that Easter morning, young men and women of the Mesa Maricopa Stake hosted a statewide convention, and the culminating event of this festive weekend was an Easter Sunrise Service on the grounds of the temple. From that time on, it became an annual event and a beloved community tradition, moving from sunrise to an evening production in 1977.”

The new Mesa Easter Pageant premieres April 6, followed by eight additional evenings of performances.Pageant dates and details are as follows: April 6–9, 12-16; each night’s show begins at 8 p.m.

Other important info:

No tickets or reservations needed.

Come early to sit on some of the 9,500+ chairs provided. Attendees are also encouraged to attend during the first week of performances to avoid the generally larger crowds closer to Easter weekend.

The outdoor area is located on the north lawn of the Mesa Arizona Temple, 101 S. LeSueur in downtown Mesa.

Attendees are encouraged to use Valley Metro Light Rail, which has a stop at Mesa Drive/Main Street, within a short walking distance of the venue.
