News Image

“Time Stopped on Christmas Eve” is a story for those who find themselves grieving during the Christmas holidays. “Time Stopped on Christmas Eve” is the work of author C.E. Kraft, elementary school teacher and reading specialist who loves anything purple and things that walk on four legs.

Kraft shares, “Claire is the oldest sister and the most responsible. Her favorite pastime is worrying about everyone else. She misses her life before tragedy took her father away forever. Mother works hard for the family now and Claire picks up the slack at home making sure her sisters have everything they need. Most of all, Claire takes on the responsibility of never letting her three younger sisters forget their daddy, especially this time of year…his favorite time of year.

“This Christmas Eve, time will stop when Claire and her little sisters notice branches moving within their Christmas tree. To their surprise the girls soon find themselves swept away to a winter wonderland. Is it the North Pole? Claire will soon learn that her fears are unnecessary on this adventure to discovering the big picture and what awaits all of them for eternity.

“This story is dedicated to those who find themselves grieving any time of the year. There is a big, beautiful picture to set our eyes on so that we can live out our purpose the way God designed it, without fear or regret.

“‘For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.’ —2 Timothy 1:7”

will find this book to be a helpful survey of end times theology written with authority and expertise.

Author Jim Daniel answers common questions about the end times in A Contemporary Look at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ ($16.99, paperback, 9781545601150; $8.99, e-book, 9781545601167).

While Christians look ahead to Christ’s return to earth, there is still much speculation regarding many of the future events described in the Bible. Daniel shows readers what to expect regarding topics such as the rapture, the mark of the beast and the eternal destination of both believers and non-believers.

“People with questions like ‘When will Christ return?’ ‘When will the end times begin?’ and ‘What are signs of the tribulation?’ will find this book to be a helpful survey of end times theology written with authority and expertise,” said Daniel.

Jim Daniel (M-DIV., Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) is Lead Pastor of Garden Oaks Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. He has pastored churches in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas for over 40 years. Jim and his wife, Terri, live in Houston and have four children and eight grandchildren.

Millicent Robinson’s newly released “Issues In The Tissues” is a heartwarming testimony of God’s deliverance in a life challenged by endless troubles

News Image

“Issues In The Tissues: Your Struggles Will Not Defeat Your Destiny”: an inspiring tome that instills in the minds of many how faith is a strong key in prevailing against challenges. “Issues In The Tissues: Your Struggles Will Not Defeat Your Destiny” is the creation of published author Millicent Robinson, a writer who has served as the director of the Gracious Women of God Ministry. She is also the author of five other books.

Robinson shares, “Give not fear to your pain, nor let financial complexities prevent success.

“You may have health issues that may be challenging but be proud of who you are and keep your focus. You are unstoppable; this is your season and there is no reason to doubt.

“The woman with the issue of blood only ‘touched’ the hem of Jesus’s garment and immediately she was healed.

“Never belittle the issues you face in your tissues. Deem it as a purpose for God to invest in you. Great investment does not come overnight, but through processes. Job said, ‘Though he slays me yet will I trust him’ (Job 13:15). If that wasn’t enough Job questioned ‘If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait until my change comes’ (Job 14:14).

“Holding back your dreams is not an option, and doubting will only set you back. Believe in yourself, be positive about life, and you have potential. Don’t be weighed down by fear, anxiety, and unforgiveness. Though caused by traumatic events, they are only issues.

“The term ‘issues in the tissues’ refers to the state of our emotional being stored in our bodies. Our heart is the center of our emotions. We deal with personality, mood, temperament, interconnectedness, motivation, disposition, experience, and illness. These are issues that when locked in the tissue they will suppress your emotions. The fact is, you need to release your tensions, get past your past because failure to do so will have your past holding you hostage. Your yesterday is past and will speak for itself; live in your today as your tomorrow isn’t promised.

“Built up issues are dangerous to the breaking down of cells within the body, causing physical barriers that will affect the exporting and receiving of messages from the mind, communication. When the mind is released, you also release the cluster of confusions that cause heaviness in the head, which often feels more like an eruption is about to take place at any time. Letting go of strongholds can be very difficult but rewarding. At the end of the day, with the release of the mind, you are no longer experiencing chaotic health issues but rather are in your right frame of mind.

“I am sincerely confident that there is life beyond your circumstances. It’s not about money, or riches, for that too will pass. It’s not about education, careers, success, or lifestyle that brings out that great significance in you, but it is about centering your mind on your Creator, the great master, controller of your holistic body. By him, your issues and tissues were formed and molded.

“But thou art he that took me out of my mother’s womb; thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breast. I was cast upon thee from the womb: Thou are my God from my mother’s belly. -Psalm 22:9-10 (KJV)

“Thine hands has made and fashioned me together round about; yet Thou do destroy me. Remember, I beseech thee, that thou have made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again. Has thou not poured me out as milk and curdled me like cheese. Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh and has fenced me with bones and sinews. Thou hast granted me life and favor, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit. -Job 10:8-12”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Millicent Robinson’s new book is a motivating memoir and guide from a life that holds so much faith after the struggles she has suffered mentally, physically, and emotionally.

“Building the Community of Christ: A Focus on Matthew, Mark, Luke and John: A Fun Game to Attract Followers to the Church”: a simple and effective guide to improve one’s Christian journey and learn more about biblical figures as one builds their community in Christ and finds their inner spirit for Christianity. “Building the Community of Christ: A Focus on Matthew, Mark, Luke and John: A Fun Game to Attract Followers to the Church” is the creation of published author Judith L. Hall, a member of the Catholic faith. She has taught religious education to middle school students, the source of inspiration for this publication.

Hall shares, “Have you ever wondered if you had the talent and passion to bring followers into your religious community? How would you discover your calling to bring the word of Christianity to others? This workbook provides the opportunity to uncover your potential and to ignite your inner spirit to encourage building a community through study, exercises, and a game to play.

“After utilizing the workbook to learn about the four gospel figures: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the gospel teachings and places travelled as presented in the Bible. We encourage the biblical students to work together to build and construct the game with their peers. Gameboard construction is simple- materials include poster board, construction paper, scissors, and glue. You may adapt and expand upon the provided materials by engaging students in the learning process. Dedicate a portion of a study lesson to challenge your “team” to create questions and answers for additional cards.

“Playing the game is the key to bringing biblical students together with the scriptures to enhance and challenge their knowledge. Utilizing the workbook and the game together provides the opportunity to develop sermons, learn more about biblical figures, investigate hymns, and build your community in Christ! I hope that you enjoy your newfound inner spirit for Christianity.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Judith L. Hall’s new book is an interactive tool that will effectively bring opportunities for Christians, new and old, to get into the grace of Christianity by engaging themselves in this learning journey about the Word.

Joseph C. Masterleo’s newly released “The Ambient Christ” is a potent account that aims to unite the conventional perspectives of science and religion

News Image

“The Ambient Christ: The Inside Story of God in Science, Scripture and Spirituality” is an edifying handbook that presents a contemporary model describing the seamless relationship between science and spirituality. The premise of the author’s synthesis is that the book of God’s Word (Scripture) and the books of God’s works (Science) each address different aspects of creation, and can be readily understood as a unified whole. This progressive synthesis is the creation of published author Joseph C. Masterleo, a clinical social worker who has served a half-century in the mental health care field. Specializing in faith-based counseling and psycho-spiritual integration, his subspeciality involves developing a novel paradigm that synthesizes outer and inner worlds, explaining how they coexist as two dynamic facets of one reality in a unified field.

Masterleo writes, “There is a unified field in the cosmos that holds everything together, and every discipline is a portal to it. Science calls it a field of fundamental forces and elementary particles. Religion calls it God and accepts it by faith as an impenetrable mystery. How can their unbending perspectives be reconciled? In ‘The Ambient Christ,’ the author proposes a novel paradigm that details their complementarity. This innovative model provides a new story for an ailing and divided planet in the twenty-first century, and a viable solution to the holy grail quest.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Joseph C. Masterleo’s new book is designed to offer a new variation on an old story—one that denotes the dynamic interbeing relationship between God as creator and his created order.

The book is designed to reveal to readers the powerful relationship between two disciplines traditionally considered separate. It does so by proposing a novel, future-looking paradigm whose time has come. From the standpoint of the one God who holds the tension of the visible and invisible worlds together, arguing “creation vs evolution,” or “science vs spirituality” makes as little sense as arguing whether it is Uncle Sam, or the United States Government that requires us to pay taxes.

Deane May Zager’s newly released “Dancing with Fireflies” is the story of a family’s adventures of love and sacrifice and getting through by the grace of God

News Image

“Dancing with Fireflies” shares the journey of a group of siblings who found adventure in their travels. Whether they were drinking from the wells of Arkansas, skipping along the roads of East Texas, or wandering other lands, this book about love and sacrifice is a page-turner for kids and adults alike.

“Dancing with Fireflies” is the work of published author Deane May Zager, who served as president of the Orange County Data Processing Inc. for thirty years and taught high school for ten years. She is also the author of “The Highest Rung of the Ladder” where she wrote about her adventures of being a woman in the “man’s world” of data processing.

Zager shares, “Dancing with Fireflies is a page-turner from the antics of a female Tom Sawyer. Join Deane and her siblings as they drink from Artesian wells in Arkansas, skip along black-top roads in East Texas, and travel the world. It’s a Horatio Alger story of sacrificing love, grief to joy, poverty to plenty, and all by the grace of God.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Deane May Zager’s new book is reminiscent of the adventures of Tom Sawyer, with the makings of being a modern-day classic for modern-day children looking for adventures within the pages of a book.

Standing together for a Better Future Without Antisemitism on Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day)

Bill Orlin Holocaust Survivor will share his testimony

Bill Orlin Holocaust Survivor will share his testimony
Houston March of Remembrance hosted by Kings Harbor

Unfortunately, the issues at the root of the Holocaust are alive and well today. If we fail to take a stand against injustice, any of us could end up as a target for persecution.

The rise of antisemitism is increasing as well as the ages of our Holocaust survivors. It is for this reason, that the Marches of Remembrance will be held in over 150 cities worldwide this year to give the public a rare chance to hear primary source testimonies from survivors before they’re gone. There will be no “shutdown” this year for the Marches. These survivors testimonies give us hope during our present world virus and “shutdown.” Their lives experienced the virus of antisemitism that murdered 6 million Jews.

Bill Orlin will speak in Houston at Kings Harbor and share his riveting account of how he was spared from certain death and Hitler’s Final Solution. Only seven years old when Nazi troops invaded his native Poland, he and his family watched as the Nazis destroyed their city and began their policies of persecution. His entire village was forced into a 50-mile march, suffering abusive humiliation along the way. His family eventually escaped from Europe, and Bill made a new life in the United States, serving in the army during the Korean War. His difficult childhood and journey to Houston taught him valuable life lessons.

Austin, Texas will have it’s first March of Remembrance as well on April 11, 2021 at 2pm. It will be held at the front gate of the state capitol. Simon Wellner, born in a DP camp after the war, (on Hitler’s birthday) is inviting the public to join Austin’s group of descendants of Holocaust survivors, the mayor of Austin, survivors and other leaders who will not be muzzled in their stance against rising antisemitism.

On April 11, from 2-4 PM in Kingwood, the public is invited to remember the two thirds of European Jewry that were murdered, and celebrate the lives of the one third of European Jewry who survived despite Hitler’s plans to eradicate the Jews from Europe. From 1:00-2:00 pm, pre-event music, school choirs, and dance will embellish the opening ceremonies and closing services along with a celebration of life at the finale. Holocaust survivors and their families will gather with local dignitaries and government leaders such as, Israeli Consul to the Southwest Gilad Katz, University and lead educators, students, liberator descendants, and community leaders such as Doug Stringer of Somebody Cares America. Pastoral host Frank Mazzapica of New Covenant Church in Humble, Texas is mobilizing his entire church to paint Upstander Stone Project rocks (which include the adding of the murdered children’s names, age and location of death on the stones.) They will be bringing the stones upon completion, to the march location, which is their resting place at the Holocaust Garden of Hope.

Besides remembering those who perished in the Holocaust and honoring those who survived, those who served as liberators, and those who rescued members of the various groups targeted for persecution, March of Remembrance events educate the public regarding the perils of indifference, prejudice, and persecution of any people group. The March of Remembrance is an annual memorial walk that began in 2007 on Yom HaShoah (Day of Holocaust Remembrance). The March serves to give survivors a voice, offer opportunity for reconciliation (between survivors and descendants of German Nazi perpetrators), and take a stand against modern-day antisemitism. We choose that day as a clear sign against antisemitism and as a powerful symbol of what happens when people remain silent about indifference and prejudice. The March of Remembrance is an American expression of the March of Life (Europe).

In the face of increased violent antisemitic incidents over the past year, it is vital that we take a stand against prejudice, persecution, and indifference against any people group. Unfortunately, the issues at the root of the Holocaust are alive and well today. If we fail to take a stand against injustice, any of us could end up as a target for persecution.

The Kingwood walk will be 8/10 of a mile and families, young and old are invited, There is Free registration and parking and a pre-event from 1:00-2:00 pm filled with music, free t shirts and family friendly social distancing.

History of the March of Life:

The March of Life is an initiative by Jobst and Charlotte Bittner and TOS Ministries from Tübingen, Germany. Together with descendants of German Wehrmacht soldiers and members of the SS and police force, they have organized memorial and reconciliation marches at sites of the Holocaust all over Europe. Since the beginning of this movement in 2007, marches have been held in 20 nations and in more than 400 cities in cooperation with Christians from different churches and denominations, as well as from many Jewish communities.

Although the March of Life in each country has its own name and touch – “March of Remembrance” in the U.S., “Marcha de La Vida” in Latin America, and “Marsz Życia” in Poland – the message remains the same. It was the indifferent silence of the majority that made the Holocaust possible. An indifference that, even today, paves the way for antisemitism and xenophobia.
