God can take what is broken and fix it, God can take what is hopeless and make it hopeful.

Author Lawrence E. Hodges shares his personal story of deliverance in When Miracles Began: Psalms 25 ($14.49, paperback, 9781545657232; $6.99, e-book, 9781545657249).

After being molested as a young boy, Lawrence looked for love in all the wrong places. He ended up in prison, pleading with God to deliver him from his bi-sexual desires and lifestyle. Only through God’s grace was he finally able to forgive his childhood abuser and, eventually, to also forgive himself.

“God can take what is broken and fix it, God can take what is hopeless and make it hopeful. Choose to trust God will work out everything in your life for his glory,” said Lawrence.

Lawrence E. Hodges follows his passion of serving in the Kingdom of God through prison ministry and park ministry.

Author Robert L. Kramer’s book “The Historic Baptism of the Holy Spirit and The Gift of Tongues” examines the misjudged role of baptism in the ability to speak tongues

News Image

Robert L. Kramer, who graduated from Moravian College and received his theological training at Evangelical Seminary, Ready, Pennsylvania, and Moravian Theological Seminary, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, has completed his new book “The Historic Baptism of the Holy Spirit and The Gift of Tongues: A Clarifying Scriptural Study of a Controversial Issue!”: a transfixing work that explains that the gift of speaking in tongues is not offered or meant to be experienced by all believers; therefore, it cannot be necessary evidence of being baptized by the Spirit.

Author Robert L. Kramer writes, “Contrary to what the scriptures reveal, some segments of the church teach that a personal baptism, separate from and in addition to being born again, is necessary and that baptism will be in evidence by speaking in tongues. Many well-meaning Christians have written and testified of what they have identified as a baptism of the Spirit. They may have had a meaningful spiritual experience, but I believe they have misinterpreted and misnamed that experience.”

Published by Page Publishing, Robert L. Kramer’s insightful work provides an interesting perspective for readers wishing to develop a deeper understanding of this aspect of the Holy Spirit.

Author Robert L. Kramer has been a pastor for forty-five years in the Evangelical Congregational Church and has written Sunday school lessons for the denominational Sunday School quarterly and articles for the church paper, “The United Evangelical.”

Readers who wish to experience this original work can purchase “The Historic Baptism of the Holy Spirit and The Gift of Tongues: A Clarifying Scriptural Study of a Controversial Issue!” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.

Where Do You Fit In?” is a creative comparison of anatomy between the spiritual and physical

News Image

“Anatomy of the Spiritual Body: Where Do You Fit In?”: an intriguing approach to spiritual health and growth. “Anatomy of the Spiritual Body: Where Do You Fit In?” is the creation of published author Anthony Harvey, a loving husband and veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He served in various US embassies and consulates in Romania behind what was then called the Iron Curtain, at NATO in Belgium, Cyprus, during the coup on the embassy, Switzerland, visited Israel, and lastly in Frankfurt, Germany. Harvey was honorably discharged from the Marines twice after opting to serve a second time. He went to Dallas Institute of Funeral Services and later opened Harvey Funeral Chapel in Yuma, later moving it to Phoenix.

Harvey shares, “The Anatomy of The Spiritual Body, this is a work of inspiration for those who want to become a part of the spiritual body and for those that are in the spiritual body but may be functioning as a hand when their actual function is foot. Many members of the spiritual body are functioning, but they are misplaced. As you read this book, you will be shown where you fit in.

“For the body is not one member but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body, is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now they are many members yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand I have no need of thee, nor again the head and to the feet I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: (1 Corinthians 12:14–22)

“Anatomy of the Spiritual Body is a work that includes a description of some of the natural body’s systems with a metaphorical comparison associated with the spiritual body. See where you fit in the spiritual body and see if you are functioning to your fullest capacity.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Anthony Harvey’s new book is a fascinating discussion of one’s overall wellbeing and how they can discern areas that may need more work.

With relevant scripture, reflections, and anatomical reference points, Harvey offers readers an alternative approach to establishing a baseline for spiritual health and how to potentially address any needed changes through a creative analogy.

IDC to Host Webinar Event in Support of Patriarch al-Rai Amid Threats from Hezbollah

In Defense of Christians (IDC), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for Christians and religious minorities in the Middle East and North Africa, will be hosting a webinar and press event in solidarity with Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rai, Patriarch of the Maronite Catholic Church, in light of recent attacks and threats by the Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah.

The Zoom webinar and press event will take place on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 3:00 PM (ET), and will include remarks from Members of Congress, members of the clergy, and Lebanon policy experts.

On August 6, Hezbollah fired 19 rockets into Israel from a civilian-populated village in southern Lebanon. In a display of valiance, Lebanese civilians actively challenged and thwarted Hezbollah’s practice of using human shields.

On August 8, Maronite Patriarch al-Rai strongly condemned Hezbollah’s provocation, and called on the LAF and UNIFIL to enforce UN Security Council Resolution 1701. The Patriarch further stated “[the Lebanese people] are tired–as they should be–of war, killing, displacement and destruction.”

Hezbollah and its supporters responded with threats to the Patriarch’s life, including public effigies of the Patriarch with a noose around his neck, and innuendos of imminent violence.

“In Defense of Christians stands in solidarity with His Beatitude Patriarch al-Rai, the Lebanese Armed forces, and courageous Lebanese civilians willing to take a stand for peace in Lebanon,” said IDC President Toufic Baaklini. “Offensive provocation which leaves Lebanese civilians vulnerable, many of whom are Christians, should not be tolerated,” he added.

A Big Fish Tale” is an enjoyable faith-based children’s tale about family traditions

News Image

“Georgie!: A Big Fish Tale”: a sweet story of faith and family. “Georgie!: A Big Fish Tale” is the creation of published author Sally Breeze Green, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who holds a Certificate of Spiritual Formation from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. Illustrations are provided by the author’s grandniece, Melissa Green.

Green shares, “Stories of my youth taught me that God can speak to our hearts in dreams, just like He did in Scripture. I also learned that this usually happens at night when we are asleep! I love it when God awakens me and says, ‘Get up and write this down!’ That happened in my earlier book, Lo & Behold: A Christmas Story.

“GEORGIE is another story from my dream life. It is a mixture of childhood memories which take shape in the characters and events in the story—fishing with my father in the trout streams of Colorado; my husband’s fishing adventures with his father as they just sat on the bank, waiting for a nibble; my brother’s finding our black-and-white sheepdog at the Safeway store in Denver; a poem of a friend named ‘Mike.’

“These memories woven together with Bible verses and values I learned as a girl gave way to this story of God’s grace in my life. I hope this little story will encourage those who read it to follow their dreams and know that God does answer and give them the desires of their hearts, especially when it is to help someone else!

“I dedicate this book to our great-grandchildren, Addy and Connor!”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Sally Breeze Green’s new book is a fun-filled narrative of Christian values and time spent with family.

With engaging illustrations and an inspiring tale, young readers will be captivated from the start of this pleasant juvenile fiction.

Apostle Clement Mbuyi’s newly released “The Road to Your Deliverance and Restoration” is a fascinating exploration of spiritual warfare and curse-breaking

News Image

“The Road to Your Deliverance and Restoration: Understanding a Curse and How to Break It”: a thought-provoking discussion of faith and that which works against it. “The Road to Your Deliverance and Restoration: Understanding a Curse and How to Break It” is the creation of published author Apostle Clement Mbuyi, a loving husband and father of four who was born in Kinshasa, Democratic of Congo, and founded International Tree of Life Church in Frederick, Maryland.

Apostle Mbuyi shares, “The Road to Your Deliverance and Restoration is a book that helps Christians and non-Christians identify the source of a curse and other spiritual bondages and to use the proper way to break the curse through the light of the word of God.

“Many people go through spiritual and physical difficulties without understanding the reason. They go from one church to another and one pastor to another, seeking help without receiving one. Lack of knowledge is one of our biggest enemies, and the Bible says, ‘My people perish for lack of knowledge.’

“The book of Proverbs 26: 2 says, ‘So a curse without cause shall not alight.’ To break a curse, you must find the cause; and if you cannot get to the root cause of a problem, you will never solve that problem. It is very difficult for a doctor to treat a patient if he or she cannot find the root cause of the illness.

“The purpose of this book is to show how to use biblical truths to uncover the true cause of a curse and spiritual bondage in our own lives and the lives of others to help them find emotional healing and spiritual freedom. Thus, the book explains the causes of a curse and spiritual bondage and offers biblical solutions to how to break them.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Apostle Clement Mbuyi’s new book is an engaging exploration of generational curses and spiritual bondage and how to break them.

With compelling reflections and relevant scripture, Apostle Mbuyi encourages readers to take a moment for self-reflection and spiritual growth. He writes in hopes of encouraging others to guard themselves against spiritual attacks.
