Dynamic Blending Named Among Fast Growing Companies in Utah

“Our talented Utah team deserves this recognition as they continue to rise to new levels of excellence for our customers,” states Gavin Collier

Dynamic Blending Specialists was recognized this week as the 22nd fastest growth company in Utah among the Utah Fast 50. The company’s rapid rise over the past three years is on trajectory to double in size in the next year. Dynamic Blending attributes its rapid growth to hyper focus on emerging brands with smaller initial quantity requirements.

“Our talented Utah team deserves this recognition as they continue to rise to new levels of excellence for our customers,” states Gavin Collier, CEO for Dynamic Blending. “As we continue to meet market demand we expect to continue this growth in this great state.”

Placement on the Utah Business Fast 50 list is based on five years of revenue growth and five years of compounded annual growth. Companies included on this list are recognized for their positive contribution to the Utah business ecosystem.

Winners were honored at a luncheon held at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City. During this event, the fastest growing companies in Utah were celebrated for their entrepreneurial spirit, innovative business strategies and rapid growth in revenue.

Dynamic Blending’s unique focus to remove barriers of entry for new companies is attracting a fast-tracking group of entrepreneurial companies with bold new ideas in personal care and cosmetics. With minimum order size of as low as 1,000 units, the company’s contract manufacturing business has served the needs of more than 400 clients worldwide in just the past two years. With a one-stop approach, the company can take a product from idea to formula to manufacturing to packaging to marketing and shipping in roughly half the time taken by the industry’s larger manufacturers. All this, while maintaining rigorous quality control and supply chain standards.

Dynamic Blending was also just named as the 17th Fastest Growing Company in America among the Inc. 5000. Started in 1982, this prestigious list has become the hallmark of entrepreneurial success. Past winners include Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Jamba Juice, Pandora, Patagonia, among others.

The company adds these prestigious awards to a growing list including the City Award from Independent Cosmetic and Distributors (ICMAD); the independent Best in Biz Award; the Best Globe Award; the Stevie Award for Best Manufacturer; Best of State Award; American Business Awards, among others.

AZZLY® Partners with Comstock Computing® to Expand Services Offered at Opioid Treatment Programs

Physicians and clinical staff understand the benefit of meeting the patient where they are and offering alternative medications and therapies. It makes their jobs easier and less room for error to have all services and documentation in one system.

AZZLY, Inc. a leading behavioral and addiction treatment digital health solution, announced today that it has partnered with Comstock Computing, a specialty Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) solutions provider. The new partnership enables OTP clinics to expand the services they provide and programs that they offer within their community by taking advantage of the digital health AZZLY Rize™ platform for improved staff efficiency and patient satisfaction.

AZZLY Rize is a leading digital health solution serving the growing ambulatory residential and outpatient treatment centers that offer abstinence based and medication assisted treatment services.

Methware was designed by a seasoned software architect with decades of experience in opioid treatment. Methware has all the necessary tools for methadone prescribing: full drug inventory control, patient dosing and medication records, payments received, daily reporting, and dispensing pump support.

“As funding opportunities for opioid treatment modalities increase, overlap between medication assisted treatment and other behavioral health modalities will become more and more common,” Eric Comstock, CEO of Comstock Computing, said. “By combining Comstock Computing’s unmatched knowledge of medication assisted treatment with AZZLY’s experience in the broader behavioral health space, the best of both worlds is now within reach.”

This seamless integration between Methware and AZZLY Rize, empowers addiction treatment providers to streamline their clinical processes and efficiently treat more patients for opioid use disorder in the same system they use for all scheduling, clinical services and billing. AZZLY focused on the OTP provider market since it was so underserved and fragmented.

“The integration between AZZLY and Methware has been very successful for Lost River Treatment Center,” said Bobbie Crider, LPN, an AZZLY Rize user at Lost River Treatment Center operated by Modoc Nation. “The set up is easy and adding the patients from AZZLY to Methware was a breeze. It has made a few things easier, such as when charting on patients medications, I do not have to go to a separate computer to look at Methware. It is all now in AZZLY. It has also helped with making sure all information on patients is accurate.”

The Integrated Care Pathways™ of AZZLY Rize support the full range of services including intake, scheduling, patient engagement, integrated e-prescribing & PDMP checks, labs, telehealth, outcome measurement tools, analytics and auto-generation of claims for reimbursement and financial reporting.

“We are excited to partner with fellow entrepreneurs that are committed to making a difference in addiction treatment,” commented Coletta Dorado, CEO and Founder of AZZLY, Inc. “ Physicians and clinical staff understand the benefit of meeting the patient where they are and offering alternative medications and therapies. It makes their jobs easier and less room for error to have all services and documentation in one system. The AZZLY Team works hard every day to simplify healthcare processes so staff actually enjoy using an EHR.”

The Methodist Home Introduces Multi-Million Dollar Renovation To Expand Short-Term Rehabilitation Services

Methodist Home For Nursing & Rehabilitation Logo

I’m so proud that our team at The Methodist Home has always been state-of-the-art in terms of patient care. And now, with this renovation, our physical facility matches that same level of excellence.” – Maria Perez, CEO and Administrator

The historic Methodist Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation has invested in a full-scale renovation and is now the premier short-term rehabilitation skilled nursing facility in the Bronx.

Prior to the pandemic lockdown, The Methodist Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation was in the midst of a rebirth. Their historic building located at 4499 Manhattan College Parkway which has been their home since 1929, was undergoing comprehensive renovations. Maria Perez, CEO and Administrator, said of the project, “I’m so proud that our team at The Methodist Home has always been state-of-the-art in terms of patient care. And now, with this renovation, our physical facility matches that same level of excellence.”

At the conclusion of the renovation, the Methodist Home will offer three full floors with private residential rooms, for short-term rehabilitation patients needing therapy or nursing services after surgery or illness. The Methodist Home is the premier skilled nursing facility for patients in need of subacute medical care following hospitalization. As patients prepare to return to their homes, one element of their therapy program will take place in the Activities of Daily Living Suite, which replicates a standard home environment. Outpatient therapy services such as physical therapy, speech therapy, and a stroke program are also available. The facility also features a floor of rooms for patients needing long-term care.

The Methodist Home understands the importance of cleanliness and safety procedures to protect all its residents. Due to the pandemic, these issues are more magnified than ever, and the Methodist Home is proud to have been one of the first nursing homes in New York to meet all Health Department criteria to restart visitation after the surge of cases in New York declined. As part of their commitment to safety and to create a more restful experience for their patients, each resident’s room is private with a private bathroom.

Jan M. Brown Named CEO of the Global Recovery Initiatives Foundation

The Board of Directors of the Global Recovery Initiatives Foundation (GRI) has named The Rev. Jan M. Brown as Chief Executive Officer of GRI. Prior to her appointment as CEO in July 2020, she was Executive Director of SpiritWorks Foundation Center for the Soul, a recovery community organization based in Virginia. She succeeds Cathie Hartnett, who remains a GRI board member and is committed to generating philanthropy that builds recovery support services for all who need them.

In making the announcement, Board Chair Pamela Cytron said, “Jan’s academic training, personal experience and intersectional lens makes her the ideal executive to lead GRI as we help remove barriers to recovery so that the 21 million people in the U.S. with substance use disorders can access the support they need. Just as important, her assuming this role could not come at a more critical time. Covid-19 has exacerbated the social isolation, economic strain and emotional stress that communities in recovery are experiencing. I could not be more pleased that Jan will be leading our team, and I am immensely proud to welcome her to GRI.”

Background on Jan Brown:

Jan is a certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist, a Recovery Coach and an international scholar on addiction studies. She has been an addiction educator and public speaker for more than 20 years, focusing on recovery, faith and the role of the church in addiction and recovery. In addition, she serves as a consultant to the U.S. government’s Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and is Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Faces and Voices of Recovery, a non-profit organization dedicated advocacy and education for people in recovery. In 2014, she was appointed by the Governor of Virginia’s Task Force on Prescription Drug and Heroin Abuse. She has been in addiction recovery for 33 years.

In addition to her role at GRI, Jan serves as an ordained Deacon in the Episcopal Church, and Archdeacon of the Diocese of Southern Virginia, where she currently serves at Bruton Parish Church in Williamsburg, VA. She was appointed by the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church to serve on its Commission on Impairment and Leadership. She has also been featured in the Online Museum of African American Addictions, Treatment and Recovery as one of the pioneers making a difference in promoting resistance to and recovery from alcohol and other drug problems.

Jan received her Master of Science Degree in Addiction Studies in 2018 from the International Programme on Addiction Studies program conferred simultaneously by three universities: King’s College, London; the University of Adelaide, Australia; and Virginia Commonwealth University. She earned her B.A. in psychology from the College of William and Mary.
