Together, we will challenge ourselves and our unified team to raise our standards of client service and efficiency even higher.

Kena Hollingsworth of Hollingsworth & Zivitz, PC (“HZ”), together with Jeffrey D. Roberts and William P. Means of Roberts Means, LLC (“RM”) proudly announce the merger of the two Carmel-based law firms to form the full-service litigation and family law firm, HOLLINGSWORTH ROBERTS MEANS, LLC (“HRM”).
Earlier this summer, HZ announced that co-founder Hollingsworth had reached an agreement to purchase sole ownership of the divorce & family law firm she opened 15 years ago. Blessed with numerous options, and after careful contemplation of the next chapter for herself and her loyal HZ colleagues, the ultimate decision to merge with RM was an easy one for Hollingsworth.
“I believe that HZ established an excellent reputation in our community by prioritizing our clients’ emotional needs along with their need for financial and legal counsel. Our primary mission has always been to guide each client into the next best stage of life with integrity and with the least amount of emotional turmoil as possible. I believe RM has demonstrated the same care for and commitment to its clients—just with a broader litigation focus.”
Hollingsworth’s professional counterparts and longtime friends at RM similarly built their firm’s reputation by prioritizing exceptional client service—not only in the family law arena but also as a full-service litigation boutique serving local and national businesses. According to Roberts, “RM prides itself on offering clients a superior level of attention and cost management via operational processes that veer from the traditional law firm norms.”
“The breadth and depth of the experience that Jeff and Bill bring to the table provide invaluable resources to clients involved in disputes ranging from traditional divorce and family law matters to complex business disputes,” Hollingsworth said. “But even more so, RM’s positive culture, its attorneys’ ability to effectively communicate and relate to clients, and the firm’s focus on providing real value to clients, were selling points that were impossible to ignore.” Per Means, “Together, we will challenge ourselves and our unified team to raise our standards of client service and efficiency even higher.”
All three law graduates of Indiana University, HRM’s founders share a core goal to grow a client-focused business, but they respect and appreciate that each brings something unique as well. Hollingsworth’s personal experience as a child of divorce provides her with an extraordinary ability to empathize with clients and clients’ children alike. Accordingly, she approaches legal issues with a commitment to minimizing conflict and creating long term solutions to set families up to positively co-parent (or just co-exist) after a divorce. Means draws upon his background in the mental health field to bring a compassionate perspective and a unique ability to understand and communicate, while his extensive litigation experience provides clients with unwavering confidence. Roberts has an impressive business background, earning a double major in finance and marketing from IU’s Kelley School of Business and having worked as a financial analyst for an investment bank before law school. His experience, coupled with an innate ability to bring business principles and plain language to guide clients toward solutions to complex matters, adds a valued perspective to the HRM team.
Accompanying Hollingsworth from the legacy HZ firm are attorneys Genevieve Keegan Bedano, Anne-Marie Briscoe, Kristy Horvath, and Ashley Roncevic, along with business manager, Hillary Showley. Joining from the RM team, along with Roberts and Means, are attorneys Kimberly McCabe, Angela Hamm, and Jamie Meyer. For the next several months, the combined HRM firm will continue working out of two locations – HZ’s office located at 11555 N Meridian Street, Suite 530, Carmel, IN 46032; and RM’s office at 12805 E. New Market Street, Suite 300, Carmel, IN 46032. Later this year, the HRM team will join together in their new HRM office building currently under construction in the center of Carmel’s fast-growing Village of West Clay. The team is excited to transition to the new building with modern amenities in a uniquely quaint setting.
Like its future new home, the firm’s new website, http://www.HRMlaw.com, while functional and informational, is also very much under construction. In the meantime, any members of the HRM team can still be reached by calling 317-569-2200, 317-353-3600 and 317-DIVORCE or by emailing any of the firms’ attorneys at their HZ or RM email addresses or new addresses which can be found on the firm’s website.
