The Success In Trucking Expo Returns to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in June for SITE 2020

The Success In Trucking Expo, hosted by ES, is returning to Indianapolis June 5-6

Everyone who joins us at the SITE 2020 will be able to see how ES stands with the participants in our program and offers support in both the best of times and the most challenging times for this industry. __ ES CEO Paul Williams

Expediter Services (ES), a leader in capacity solutions and ownership opportunities within the trucking industry, is pleased to announce that the company will once again host the Success In Trucking Expo (SITE). For the second consecutive year, ES has chosen the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Complex as the location for the SITE, which will take place June 5-6.

Through the structure and atmosphere that the event established during its inaugural run in 2019, the SITE stands out when compared to the traditional truck shows currently on the calendar in the overall experience it delivers for those in attendance. Led by the efforts of ES, the participating carriers, sponsors and vendors, the SITE offers a much more personal and hands-on event, providing expert perspective on the state of the industry while offering opportunities to become an entrepreneur and grow a business within trucking. The focus of the SITE 2020 will once again be placed on connecting with professional drivers who are looking to take the next step in their careers and become truck owners. The SITE also offers a platform to help address the needs of contract drivers, owner-operators and fleet owners.

The program format of the SITE, with its speakers, roundtable discussions and chosen topics, is once again being structured to share industry knowledge and practical experience to benefit the attendees as they look to build, upgrade and expand their businesses. ES has established a dedicated website that covers all aspects of the SITE 2020, including registration for the event. The website can be accessed through the following link: https://www.successintruckingexpo.com/

“The Success In Trucking Expo is designed to offer solutions to some of the leading challenges in the trucking market today. Whether it’s access to reliable capacity or connecting people with attainable opportunities for truck ownership and steady business growth for entrepreneurs, the 2020 edition of the SITE will be dedicated to providing helpful insights and innovative answers for people looking to achieve greater levels of success in trucking,” said Paul Williams, the Chief Executive Officer of ES. “We are thrilled to bring the SITE back to the home of the Indy 500, and our ES team is focused on creating a meaningful experience for everyone who joins us. We will have a fast-paced and interesting program at the SITE, which provides opportunities for everyone to learn about our ES Community of support. Everyone who joins us at the SITE 2020 will be able to see how ES stands with the participants in our program and offers support in both the best of times and the most challenging times for this industry.”

One of the most unique features about the SITE is that ES is offering free hotel accommodations and free meals for prequalified expo registrants. A limited number of those slots are available for the event, and attendees receiving them will be chosen from the registration submissions ES receives. The registration form for the event can be accessed through the following link: https://www.successintruckingexpo.com/register

Legendary football coach Bobby Bowden will serve as the keynote speaker on the first day of the SITE 2020. With 377 victories in his career, Bowden is one of the winningest coaches in college football history. From 1976-2009, Bowden led Florida State University, and he built the football program into a perennial powerhouse, winning two national championships and earning 22 postseason bowl victories at the helm of FSU. In his 44 seasons overall as a head football coach, Bowden compiled 40 winning seasons, including 33 straight at FSU.

Off the field, Bowden is the author and co-author of several books, and he has served as a leading voice for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In fact, the FCA has named an annual award in honor of Bowden. The Bobby Bowden Student-Athlete of the Year Award recognizes one college football player for achievements on the field, in the classroom and in the community.

“We are very proud to welcome Coach Bowden as our keynote speaker for this year’s SITE. His record for achieving success on and off the field as well as his dedication to be of service to others during his lifetime are truly inspirational,” said Jason Williams, President of ES. “We are looking forward to hearing what Coach Bowden will be sharing with us at the SITE. We know his message will hit home with everyone in attendance.”

ES is building a comprehensive program for the SITE 2020. The motor carriers and vendors participating in the SITE have been hand-picked by ES because of their desire to help the attendees in reaching their goals within the trucking industry.

Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer, a division of Truck Country, will serve as the title sponsor of the SITE for the second straight year. The ES Community motor carriers participating in the SITE are FedEx Custom Critical, Forward Air and Panther Premium Logistics, a Service of ArcBest. These three companies, all of which were part of the SITE 2019, will once again be the exclusive motor carriers at the SITE.

Daimler Truck Financial, Detroit Diesel, Equinox Owner-Operator Solutions, Freightliner, Love’s Travel Stops, Paccar Financial, Peterbilt Truck Centers, TA-Petro, TVC Pro Driver, Inc., Vanguard Truck Centers, Volvo Financial Services, Western Star, Crosspoint Power and Refrigeration and the Women In Trucking Association served as vendors at the 2019 SITE. ES officials are expecting the return of last year’s vendors as well as other additions for the SITE 2020.

In addition to the keynote speech by Coach Bowden, the SITE 2020 will feature industry leaders and subject-matter experts sharing their insights through both presentations and discussions. Women In Trucking Association President and CEO Ellen Voie is a part of the speakers list for the SITE 2020 program currently in development by ES.

In November of 2017, ES partnered with the Women In Trucking Association to launch the 150 Business Challenge, a collaborative initiative between the two organizations to create 150 women-owned businesses in transportation. Over the past two-plus years, the 150 Business Challenge is fast approaching 100 new trucking start-ups as a result of participation in the program, which offers an attainable path to financing as well as operational and business support for women who have an interest in a career path within the trucking industry.

Leah Shaver, the Chief Operating Officer of the National Transportation Institute, is one of the industry experts who will be a part of the SITE 2020. Shaver also serves as a host on SiriusXM’s Road Dog Trucking Radio Channel, and she is a member of the Women In Trucking Association’s Board of Directors. She recently participated in the ES Success In Trucking Podcast, discussing changes in the market since the record year of 2018 along with the realities owner-operators often face when launching or attempting to grow a trucking business. During the podcast, Shaver, who serves as a consultant for ES, noted the comprehensive structure of the ES program and the support systems the company has put into place to promote success.

“Truck drivers like freedom and flexibility and that’s why they choose this career. ES is working to help create small businesses with a program that allows the participants to choose the opportunity that is the best fit from a group of partner carriers,” said Shaver. “ES doesn’t stop at financing the truck. The ES Community provides support and leverage. They provide carrier advocacy, allowing a business owner the ability to focus on generating revenue and not on day-to-day issues.

“ES leverages their experience and contacts within the industry to negotiate and make available a variety of other resources and services to their business community,” she added. “The motto at ES is that you never stand alone, and, when you see how ES works with the participants in their programs, it’s clear they live up to that motto every day.”

Since it entered the trucking industry in 2006, ES has utilized a working model that focuses on removing the barriers that hinder professional drivers from becoming truck owners and operating their own small businesses. Through ES, qualified participants in the company’s programs have access to competitive, market-rate financing with a credit-evaluation process that puts an emphasis on attitude, aptitude, work ethic and work history. The ES model has proven to be an effective platform for contract drivers, owner-operators and fleet owners. Today, ES is a leading provider of non-asset capacity within the expedited market, and the company’s platform continues to gain traction within a general trucking market searching for safe, stable, and scalable tractor capacity solutions.

“We are working very hard to do everything that we can to make the SITE 2020 the kind of event that will have a positive impact for everyone who makes the trip to Indianapolis. We are looking forward to working with anyone who is interested in attending. Our goal with the SITE 2020 is to make it a fun, meaningful and memorable experience for everyone involved. Just as we did last year, ES will be providing free hotel accommodations and free meals to prequalified SITE registrants. Don’t wait, there are a limited number of these spots available. Please go to our website, register and start the pre-qualification process. June 5th will be here before you know it,” said Jeff Tacker, the Chief Operating Officer at ES. “If you are interested in true truck ownership with the full support of the ES Community, I would encourage you to visit SuccessInTruckingExpo.com to learn more and to register.”

Black Swan Advisors (BSA) announces new underground mine plan for Radcliffe Mine, Inyo County, Ca.

Black Swan Advisors (BSA) and Bush Management Company (BMC) (BSA/BMC) have just completed a review of mining options suitable for the first new mining at Radcliffe Mine (Radcliffe), a 1,750-acre complex of patented and unpatented mining claims 25+ miles east of Trona, California. Radcliffe was first mined in 1886 and was last operated on a regular basis in the 1940s.

Radcliffe was acquired by BSA/BMC in September 2018. Since September BSA/BMC has conducted substantial due diligence including a review of mining permits, historical mine operations, and reviewed other data available from prior operators. Radcliffe has 2 major mineralization areas; the Worldbeater Complex and the Radcliffe Schist. BSA/BMC also engaged MDA/RESPEC (MDA) to complete an updated NI 43 101 which provided significant detailed analysis of mineralization and mining potential. MDA analyzed 174 drill holes (and associated assay results) completed in the 1994 to 2003-time frame by prior option holders of Radcliffe, including Kerr McGee, Echo Bay, and Compass. The drill holes are clustered in the south end of the patented land area of 137 acres in a portion totaling 65 acres, the Target Mining Area.

BSA/BMC also engaged Practical Mining (Practical) of Elko Nevada to review possible mining scenarios inside the Target Mining Area. Practical identified a closer-knit set of drill holes around one of the approved portal locations (Portal 4). Mark Odell (Odell) of Practical outlined his findings as follows “ Portal 4 has 128 drill holes with spacing averaging 65 feet, giving us a very high level of confidence in our findings; Portal 4 provides access to mineralization containing an estimated 155,000 ounces of gold with a .403 OPT grade; and finally we have been able to put together a very efficient mine plan due to the tight drill hole spacing and the close proximity to the surface entrance for Portal 4”. The findings outlined above have been converted into a final underground mine plan (Mine Plan) which conforms to the conditions in the approved Conditional Use Permit (CUP). To make it clear, the Mine Plan area of some 50 acres is a subset of the 65 acres used by MDA for the updated NI 43 101.

Regarding the mining permits, McLaughlin advised “The 137 fee acres are permitted under the jurisdiction of Inyo County, Ca. A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) was utilized to identify the allowed mining under the Inyo County zoning and other regulations. The CUP provides for 6 approved new portals for underground mining, mine access roads, and a mining support area along Pleasant Canyon road which runs through the fee land. This is the area where historic ore processing was conducted from 1886 thru 1940. The CUP specifically authorizes crushing and processing”. McLaughlin added further “The CUP provides for access to the mining operation through 2 Rights of Way issued by BLM across BLM properties and into the CUP area.”

The Practical Mine Plan has also been converted to a Request for Proposal (RFP) which has been sent to several underground mining companies for bids. 3 sets of bids have been received, 2 of which have come in under the target All In Sustaining Cost AISC of $800/ounce, including on-site crushing and processing as allowed by the CUP and county zoning regulations.

Additionally, BSA/BMC has engaged Jorgensen Engineering and Technical Services (JE&TS) as the project metallurgist. ALS Kamloops (ALS) was selected as the metallurgical Laboratory. Tests were conducted on a single mined sample from Portal 1 situated inside the Mine Plan). BSA/BMC was able to gather ore from Portal 1 (a partially completed drift started by the owner preceding BSA/BMC, which drift is actually part of the Target Mine Area-50 acres of Portal 4), making it a reliable source for metallurgical analysis for Portal 4 . The results of the preliminary test work showed that gold could be recovered using several different processing options and recoveries from 55 % using gravity concentration to 85% using bulk flotation could be achieved. A preliminary processing scheme was developed that would incorporate crushing, grinding and bulk flotation for gold. Significantly more details of ALS testing and JE&TS metallurgical details are included in Paragraph 13 of the NI 43 101.

Jorgensen has also compiled a flow plan indicating which processes will require which equipment packages to achieve the target on-site processing goals. Jorgensen has evaluated crushing, flotation, gravity separation, and other processing methods.

New Backless Barstools from Brandenberry Redefine Amish Furniture

The Wilford Swivel Bar Chair, Winslow Wood Barstool and Norcross Stationary Bar Stool are backless, trendy and very cool!

These barstools are designed for homeowners who appreciate solid hardwood furniture that fits into a modern décor.

As if to dispel any notion that all Amish furniture is traditional, classic and predictable, Brandenberry Amish Furniture of Shipshewana, Indiana, recently added three trendy, backless barstools to its lineup. They are the Wilford Swivel Bar Chair, the Winslow Wood Barstool and the Norcross Stationary Bar Stool.

These barstools, along with the extensive collection of other solid wood barstools are available at Brandenberry’s website.

With its seat meticulously carved in the shape of a saddle, the Wilford Swivel Bar Chair is ready to take homeowners and guests on a fun ride every time they settle in for a meal or a drink. The cool design makes the barstool a welcome addition to any trendy house or apartment – city, suburbs or country.

A deeply contoured seat honed from a block of solid hardwood sets the Winslow Wood Barstool apart from the pack. The contour of the seat makes it incredibly comfortable – not to mention being quite a conversation piece! The Winslow barstool is the ideal piece for today’s chic houses or apartments.

Both the Wilford and Winslow barstools are available with a fixed or swivel seat. The swivel feature makes getting into and out of the stool easier and makes it easier to swing from side to side while in conversations.

The Norcross Stationary Bar Stool features an eye-catching curved design in the seat, legs and cross-members. This feature enhances comfort as well as eye appeal.

All three barstools are available in heights of 24 and 30 inches. So homeowners can order any of the barstools for their kitchen counter, in-home bar or pub table. In addition, because these barstools have no back, they store easily beneath the kitchen counter or pub table.

Explaining the placement of the Wilford, Winslow and Norcross barstools in the Brandenberry lineup, Floyd Eash, furniture consultant at Brandenberry Amish Furniture says, “These barstools are designed for homeowners who appreciate solid hardwood furniture that fits into a modern décor.”

The barstools are custom-built by Amish cabinetmakers — the best in the Midwest. Also, the Amish craftsmen use quality regional hardwoods, such as maple, oak and cherry. As a result, the barstools are sturdy, durable – and heirloom-quality.

Customers can order any of the Wilford, Winslow or Norcross barstools online or, they can visit Brandenberry’s ‘brick and mortar’ store in Shipshewana, Indiana.
