Amitron Corp. Chief Technology Officer Launches New Column to Promote American Electronics Manufacturing

“Electronics make America run. From the phones in our pockets to the cars we drive, from the planes that soar the skies to the military hardware that protects us,” said Salvi. “Electronics make our lives safer, more secure, and more convenient. At the heart of electronics is the manufacturing of printed circuit boards. American manufacturing is on the rise. American manufacturers are effectively competing with overseas competitors. Supply chains are migrating back to America and investment in technology is increasing. Now American manufacturers are boldly facing the future, including those in the printed circuit board sector. I look forward to connecting with industry leaders in my new column for I-Connect007.”

Salvi’s columns focus on Factory 5.0, the transition of robots to cobots centering on cooperation between robots and humans, and state-of-the-art technologies in electronics manufacturing and printed circuit board design and production.

“Factory-5.0 builds on the principles of Industry 4.0 by emphasizing human-centric collaboration, flexibility, and adaptability,” added Salvi. “It envisions a highly integrated and intelligent production environment where humans and machines work side-by-side, leveraging each other’s strengths to achieve maximum efficiency, productivity, and innovation. What we are now calling ‘Cobots’ are collaborative robots, collaborating with humans.”

ECI Software Solutions Adds Spanish-Language Capabilities to Bolt, Trade Contractor Scheduling and Job Management Software for Residential Construction Industry

Expanding language functionality on its native mobile app for Bolt, ECI opens the lines of communication for Spanish-speaking trade contractors who work with English-speaking home builders

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 20, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — ECI Software Solutions, a global provider of cloud-based business management software and services, today announced new Spanish-language enhancements on its native mobile app for Bolt™, its trade contractor scheduling and job management software. The enhancement improves communication between both English- and Spanish-speaking professionals, providing more inclusive and effective services for small- to medium-sized trade contractors working with builders in the new residential construction industry.

“The expanded language capabilities are momentous for new residential construction, considering the Bolt mobile trade contractor software provides all trade contractors with project management and scheduling functionality to manage their business, reduce wasted trips, and track and collect extra purchase orders,” said Scott Duman, president, RHC Division at ECI Software Solutions. “Not only does this update make the app more inclusive, it also eliminates miscommunication and false starts while opening the qualified contractor pool—from electricians to masons and everything in between.”

“In addition to greater inclusivity and reduced miscommunication, the Bolt Spanish-language capability also improves productivity and overall efficiency,” said Bob Cain, business unit leader, BuildTools & Bolt at ECI Software Solutions. “Communication is the most important part of residential home construction, and empowering trade contractors to manage field operations—from schedules through time tracking—in their preferred language on an individual basis has proven to be extremely impactful.”

The Spanish-language enhancement is fully integrated into the Bolt software, empowering trade contractors to have personalized language settings, opting for either English or Spanish based on user preferences. Trade contractors can also interchange these language capabilities, allowing for a more comprehensive user experience.

“The ability for our team members to be able to choose to use Bolt in Spanish or English on their cellphones has dramatically improved communications,” said Tammie Robertson, controller at Proven Electrical Services LLC and a Bolt user. “No more confusion or numerous phone calls to ask questions. We chose Bolt for our business because it makes managing all our jobs so much easier, and being able to clearly communicate in Spanish or English is the icing on the cake!”

transcosmos joins Wakayama Prefecture Corporate Forest project, and kicks off forest conservation initiative

transcosmos will start thinning the forest from 2024 to protect the forest in Aridagawa town. By selectively removing trees and managing the density, this process promotes the growth of remaining trees, thereby drastically increasing the amount of CO2 absorbed by the forest. transcosmos plans to thin 2.27 ha of the forest, and expects to absorb 31 tons of CO2 through this process.

─Overview of the forest conservation and management initiative
(1) Area: transcosmos Forest
            A private forest of 2.27ha
342-3, Uchita, Hikogase, Aridagawa town, Arida gun, Wakayama prefecture
(2) Plan: Forest thinning in spring, 2024
Outsource the site management to Kanayacho Forest Association

transcosmos received the following comments from the governor and the mayor at the signing ceremony on September 7, 2023.

Shuhei Kishimoto, Governor of Wakayama Prefecture
We, Wakayama prefecture, have been carrying out the Corporate Forest project for years, and the transcosmos forest marks the 107th corporate forest in our prefecture. Knowing that the late founder of transcosmos had a special connection with our prefecture, we feel an affinity with the company. So, we sincerely appreciate that you, of all companies, have chosen and joined our Corporate Forest project out of numerous community activities taking place across Japan. We also would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your contribution to our economic activities from various aspects. Come what may, Wakayama prefecture is determined to take the lead in decarbonization under the new paradigm of the 21 century. Thank you for your continued support and a close collaboration towards the same goal.

Masataka Nakayama, Mayor of Aridagawa town
transcosmos will be the first company in Aridagawa town which will engage in a forest thinning activity as a Corporate Forest project member. Forest in Aridagawa town occupies about 70% of the whole town. Most of the forest area remains undeveloped after being planted after the Second World War. We are delighted to know that you will develop and manage the forest, allowing more light in, making trees grow thick, and ultimately conserving the environment and making the forest disaster-resilient.

Kenshi Matsubara, Director & Vice President at transcosmos also made the following comment.
As our late founder was from Wakayama prefecture, transcosmos opened its first branch office in Wakayama back in 1974. Since then, we have been offering various services including call centers and back-office services in the prefecture. We have been successful in providing services to many businesses because of all local members’ excellent work.
We, as a company, are taking action to address climate change and environmental conservation – two of the greatest challenges in recent years – in line with ISO14001. It is our great honor to engage in the forest thinning project in Aridagawa town. We will contribute to the town of Aridagawa in both environmental and community activities, committing to fulfil our responsibility as an environmentally-friendly company. To remain a company recognized by all our stakeholders and society, we will continue to contribute to creating a sustainable society and environment. We look forward to seeing the enhanced new forest in 10 years from now.

Selling Power Releases 2023 List of the 500 Largest Sales Organizations in America

The states with the most Selling Power 500 companies are California (56), New York (49), and Texas (38). The states in which the Selling Power 500 companies employ the largest sales organizations are California (6,763,764), New York (6,600,674), and Texas (3,685,369). These states account for about 28% of the total companies and a whopping 66% of the total salespeople.

Beginning with this year, Selling Power is also tracking the gender gap in the leadership of these major companies. While there was the slightest improvement from 2022, when only 8% of these companies were led by women, it is still disappointing that, in 2023, a paltry 10% of the Selling Power 500 companies are led by women. Within the leading tech sector companies reported on, all are helmed by men with the notable exception of Oracle’s CEO, Safra A. Catz.

Although it is too early to confirm a trend or assign causation, the overall number of salespeople has declined within the major tracked industries, while gross revenues are up across the board.

Top executives can use the Selling Power 500 to benchmark their company’s productivity per salesperson and find out how they measure against the average in their industry.

Sales executives can use the Selling Power 500 as a prospect list. This is the ideal list for reps who sell sales training, incentive and promotional products, CRM solutions, automotive fleets, sales enablement solutions, or virtual meeting solutions.
