Gathering a network of professionals within the hair and beauty industries, Wigs & Wishes supports ‘women battling cancer with wigs at no cost’ and ‘grants wishes to children battling childhood cancer.’
Losing hair is not simply a cosmetic loss, it can also trigger mental distress and lasting psychological damage affecting one’s confidence and self-esteem. Thus, Wigs & Wishes made a ‘pledge to restore dignity to women who lost their hair to chemotherapy.’
Wigs & Wishes hosted their 7th annual grand gala event on October 27th at the stunning venue of Lucien’s Manor in New Jersey to help raise funds for the charity.
The host with the most for the night was none other than TV personality & musical star Paula Abdul, widely known for her appearances as a judge on American Idol. On the night, guests attended an ‘extravagant cocktail hour, with delicious hors d’ oeuvres, live entertainment, an exceptional auction, and a highly anticipated after party.’ Multiple wigs & wishes were granted for the lucky stars of the night. JJ Weeks Band also made a special live performance of their Billboard Top 10 track, “Let Them See You.”
