Cancer Nursing Today Announces Brand and Website Relaunch

Mashup Media, LLC, a publisher of medical news platforms, is proud to announce the official relaunch of one of its digital entities, Cancer Nursing Today. The relaunch includes new branding, expanded partnerships, and a reimagined digital platform that will provide key content from expert oncology nurses, intuitive navigation, and a refined mobile experience.

Cancer Nursing Today delivers critical news and information to support oncology nurses throughout their education and careers, with the goal of advancing oncology treatments and care while promoting the nurse’s role in enhanced patient outcomes and quality of life.

Cancer Nursing Today recently partnered with beyond Oncology, whose founder, Elaine S. DeMeyer, MSN, RN, AOCN®, BMTCN®, has been appointed as Editor-in-Chief. beyond Oncology is an expert-led company that provides oncology professionals with resources that empower them to provide better patient care practices. They cover the entire spectrum of cancer care—prevention, detection, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life care. This collaboration offers oncology nurses the opportunity to expand their knowledge and writing abilities by participating in an exciting mentorship opportunity. Working closely with a network of experienced nurse authors, the mentees will regularly cover nursing trends and practices on Cancer Nursing Today.

Cancer Nursing Today is also proud to continue featuring articles from additional nurse contributors such as Teresa Hagan Thomas, PhD, RN. Dr. Thomas is a leader in researching patient self-advocacy, symptom management, and palliative care. Dr. Thomas is an assistant-professor teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and serves as a mentor to nursing students and researchers. Dr. Thomas is passionate about improving cancer care to ensure that patients’ needs and priorities drive the care they receive. “We need more resources like this to translate research into nursing practice, quickly and efficiently,” said Dr. Thomas.

Cancer Nursing Today will feature interviews and videos from experts in the field, provide cutting-edge cancer research, practice updates, and more. Additionally, the platform will deploy valuable content via weekly email newsletters, and through active social media conversations.

“We are excited to strengthen the delivery of key information to the oncology nursing field through this relaunch and to expand our network of expert contributors. We look forward to continuing to support oncology nurses in their careers and ultimately help nurses improve patient outcomes,” said JC Landry, CEO of Mashup Media.
