Burning Tree Programs announced today the hiring of Dr. Devin Dunatov, MD, as the Medical Director of Burning Tree West in Tucson, Arizona.

Burning Tree Programs, the nation’s leading provider for addiction treatment, announced today the hiring of Dr. Devin Dunatov, MD, as the Medical Director of Burning Tree West in Tucson, Arizona.

Dr. Dunatov brings more than 10 years of experience to Burning Tree West, most recently having served as a psychiatrist at Clarity Behavioral Health Group. He completed his adult psychiatry residency training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and went on to complete fellowship training in addiction psychiatry.

Throughout his career, Dr. Dunatov found a passion for working with individuals with mental health needs, which led him to pursue a career in psychiatry. One of his biggest draws to working in the industry is the ability to sit with patients, hear their stories, and offer help in addressing mental health needs that will impact all facets of their lives. His passion for addiction medicine is driven by understanding addiction as a complex biological and psychosocial process, and helping patients find freedom in recovery.

As the medical director, Dr. Dunatov will provide patient care when requested or needed, including Psychiatric Stabilization, to assist in cases with hospital admission for stabilization services when necessary. Dr. Dunatov will provide a direct line of communication, available 24/7, for the clinical team to consult on patient care and more complex cases, and will aid in the development of Burning Tree West’s medical services as the program grows.

Having an in-house medical director at Burning Tree West opens the door to new opportunities for the addiction recovery center and its staff. With the addition of a medical director role, the leadership team can now be more hands on with medication and prescriptions for clients that need additional support, consult with an MD on how to move forward with a case, transition a client to a higher level of care, gain education and support, and much more.
