BlueCloud® by HealthCarePoint (HCP) and VirTrial today announced a global collaboration that will enable international investigator sites to become VirTrial technology competent and ready for the benefit of Sponsors, CROs, Universities, regulatory agencies and other industry stakeholders, and ultimately patients.
The training and certification initiative aims to provide sustainable study and patient opportunities for investigator sites, while demonstrating telemedicine technology competencies in the eyes of international regulators.
VirTrial developed the program, using BlueCloud standards, while BlueCloud will provide its global networking infrastructure to Deliver, Distribute, Implement and Track (DDIT™) training competencies and certifications for business and compliance purposes.
“We’ll be inviting our global network of healthcare professionals from investigator sites to participate in this modern initiative to help sites improve long term sustainability in this current and future environment,” said Al Pacino, President and co-founder of BlueCloud by HealthCarePoint. “Just as hundreds of training and certification programs in our network currently use to minimize data variance in clinical trials, our healthcare and clinical research members will benefit by dynamically sharing their global certifications 24/7 with Sponsors, CROs, Universities and other industry stakeholders using their personal and private GDPRWallet®, for any current and future decentralized clinical trials. Verifiable and accessible in real-time, Investigator sites will also benefit by having employer’s VirTrial certifications as part of their dynamic research ready auditable (HR) GDPRDirectory® commonly used for business and compliance tracking, all from one place.”
“VirTrial was created with sites in mind from the start,” says Kim Kundert, Executive Vice President. “The very concept of clinical research sites is embedded in our founding team’s DNA, so we understand what it’s like to try and keep up with all of the technological changes associated with virtual trials. That’s why we provide our Virtual Trial Capable training for sites.”
As a global standards delivery network and as the inventors of the GDPRWallet® and GDPRDirectory®, BlueCloud enables healthcare and clinical research sites to be connected with sponsors, CRO’s, universities and thousands of other industry stakeholders for marketing, business and compliance purposes. Available in more than 169 countries and used by close to 2 million healthcare professionals, BlueCloud systems are used by members to connect, organize, centralize and share real-time verifiable information for marketing, managerial and compliance activities. Internationally, BlueCloud creates a real-time global network that is proven to save the industry millions of dollars by eliminating redundancies, expediting study start up, and ensuring quality, transparency and compliance, with the ultimate goal to modernize the ecosystem through real-time, live connectivity. BlueCloud is the sustainable system that “leaves no patient behind®” regardless of religion, race, geography or socio-economic status.
“VirTrial’s platform enables pharmaceutical companies and CROs to empower their selected clinical research sites to perform virtual visits – a combination of secure video, audio, chat and messaging, which can be used on any device. Incorporating VirTrial’s virtual visits into study protocols opens the door to a wider participant pool, ultimately yielding improved study outcomes and efficient site performance.
Unlike other clinical trial vendors that began as technology companies, VirTrial has a stable of clinical research veterans and experienced tech entrepreneurs teaming together to lead the company towards providing the human population with remote access to clinical research sites.
