Bill Bliem, SVP of Fleet Services at NFI, to Speak at ACT Virtual Online Event Series

NFI hopes to encourage the industry to consider the benefits of an electric fleet, ideally to build an infrastructure capable of reducing the industry’s carbon footprint by making electric vehicles more accessible.

Bill Bliem, SVP of Fleet Services at NFI, will speak at ACT Virtual Online Event Series’ Ultra Clean Vehicle Summit on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. PST. The session, titled “Fleet Case Studies in Electric,” will feature electric truck deployment presentations by leaders at NFI, Daimler Trucks North America, and more. The case studies will aim to answer questions about the successes and challenges of the battery electric heavy-duty trucks that have been deployed in the last year.

NFI is dedicated to exploring new technologies and providing innovative solutions to its customers. As a pioneer in electric trucks, NFI has partnered with industry-leading manufacturers like Daimler North America to test its Freightliner eCascadias in real-world conditions, runs Kalmar Ottawa electric tractors at its California distribution centers, and most recently added two Volvo VNR electric trucks to its electric fleet. Recognized as a four-time award-winning EPA SmartWay Partner, as well as SmartWay High Performer, NFI’s commitment to building a sustainable fleet and infrastructure are unmatched.

“Investing in electric vehicles and minimizing our environmental impact are both top priorities at NFI. Our company’s dedication to social responsibility compelled us to drive the partnerships we have with leading manufacturers,” says Bliem. “As NFI continues to push boundaries at the forefront of innovation, we are excited to share our experiences with the transportation community at events like ACT Virtual. We hope to encourage the industry to consider the benefits of an electric fleet, ideally to build an infrastructure capable of reducing the industry’s carbon footprint by making electric vehicles more accessible.”
